Out of all the active fighters close to retirement, Jon will probably have the hardest time leaving the sport. He was always getting into trouble outside of the cage already, imagine what will happen when the world stops feeding that ego. It's all he's known since he was 20.

Jon wants to beat Stipe because DC did. It’s the one thing DC holds over Jon. Beating Stipe during Stipe’s reign. Jon didn’t beat a champion, let alone a legend, to become heavyweight champ. Tom’s not a champion. Interim belts are pretend belts. So it has to be Stipe in Jon’s mind.
