Somewhere in suburbia this conversation happened: Husband: “Honey, where’s that Polish medal? You know, the one with the eagle? I was just watching Pawn Stars and…” Wife: “Oh, that old thing; I sold it in the garage sale last Spring with a bunch of other junk. I remember some white-haired guy bought it. Why?” Husband curls up in fetal position and covers his head with blanket.

My late brother married the daughter of a Polish Count that raised horses for the Polish Calvary. She had a case full of beautiful metal that her father had been given. They were amazing.
