I will never forgive Lady GooGoo for the crimes she committed in October 2011

as a 19 year old woman i STILL love moshi monsters, idc how weird the lore is i love those lil guys

I was an artist on a Moshi Monsters fan revival project, so I got a glimpse of the back end. The entire game is held together by duct tape. There's bugs that never got fixed because the team was seemingly too focused on adding new products to make merchandise of. The amount of merch is absolutely insane, you can hunt down toys of characters and moshlings not even added to the game because they pretty much gave up. It's a shame too, the game had a lot of potential that never got built upon due to the sheer amount of content added to sell toysets.

I used to be the BIGGEST FAN of Moshi Monsters, but out of nowhere it just disappeared from my radar. I'm glad someone is covering this topic after MORE THAN A DECADE!

It was a huge thing in the UK. The movie was hyped a lot, i remember going to Chessington and getting a free membership thingy. My friends all had the figures, i had all the DS games and i even had clothes and bedsheets and plushies, i was so obbessed it was my whole childhood

Hard to believe this franchise would get a full fledged feature length movie, shown in actual cinemas. It was glorious

I loved Moshi Monsters sooo much, the ice cream shop was one of my favorite things to do. I hope it comes back, I’d totally pay the annual membership 😭

There is a fan revival project called Moshi Monsters Rewritten if anyone’s interested. You’re able to play as a paid member for free. As someone who could not/would not convince my parents to pay for the membership as a kid, it takes the mystery behind the paywall away. Blows my mind how the level of fun I imagined was much greater than the reality.

I remember when the super moshi quest thing got added for the first time, and it was free to play, and you did all the puzzles, and it took me all day, and finally, finally, you get to the reward, the secret volcano base, and are met with “become a member to finish this quest and actually do things!” I was devastated. I actually remember crying over it.

With all these monster videos coming out recently, I would appreciate a My Singing Monsters video, especially since Mammott was referenced secretly at the beginning of the video. The lore is INSANE
  • He’s getting better at drawing, you can tell because at the end he adds four extra lines to his character!

Fun fact: Mind Candy actually made an ARG game that had players buying card packs that contained puzzles that players had to solve. The main goal was to find a cube that was important to the fictional "Perplex city." The cube was found in 2007 and the person that found it won 120,000 thousand dollars. You might have heard of Perplex City from one particular card called "Billion to One" that had a picture of a man, and the words "find me" in Japanese. If you're interested in this card I recommend watching Inside a Mind's videos on the card.

good video but the Chekhov’s Ferris Wheel Eagle is the real reason I watched to the end. the tension of waiting for you to get divebombed by an extremely specific bird was unbearable
  • @morganorwhatever
I was a way too sensitive kid, and thinking about Moshlings losing their personalities and being turned into hateful glumps really upset me. Also even back then I found it extremely petty that Strangeglove vowed to annihilate Moshlings because a dog Moshling bit him once. Like cmon, dude, grow up
  • @pikaboo8175
I need to say thank you for referencing the existence of the Moshi Monsters movie because I remember watching it off a torrenting site when I was like twelve and completely forgot after, if it wasn't documented in video form I would assume the entire movie is a fever dream I had once like no one talks about this movie like ever

even though moshi kids is locked behind a paywall, they have a lot of full-length content on their youtube channel. I use the meditations myself sometimes, not to mention the art made for it is absolutely gorgeous. also, moshi monsters and calm (the wellness app) share a founder, so it was natural for him to merge the two when moshi was essentially at the end of its life. I'm glad the franchise and now kids get to still experience the magic of our silly little moshlings
  • @bluemosss
I was obsessed with Moshi Monsters, I had the little figures as well

R.I.P. Lady Goo Goo we'll never forget your legacy as a music legend 😢
