Honestly, yeah you found a lot of cool stuff, but Daddo the Unown should be cherished FOREVER. That is so heartwarming.

Incredible journalism & story telling! What a nostalgia trip! Always wanted to be a dragon trainer like Lance growing up so that OT was definitely me 🤣 Did not expect the Unknown. This video hit harder than expected, props for the authenticity Mikey. Glad to still have you as my best friend & brother after all these years 💪🏼
  • Mike, i’m sorry to hear about your father. He would be overwhelmingly proud of the man you’ve become. You are easily one of my favorite Pokemon Youtubers, and I look forward to continuing to support you.

    Incredible journalism & story telling!
  • This video is such a trip down memory lane for any of us that played Pokémon in our younger years. Gosh, those GBC, SP, GBA, etc. eras were timeless! If you ever have kids in the future, you can show them that it's possible to take what you love and make it into a career because you are truly a living example of that! Keep up the great content Mikey!

The story with mike’s dad hits really close to me since my dad died in February 2005 right before emeralds came out and I was 11, and my mom got me emerald to help me cope. You hit me with the feels mikey, but in a good way

I dont know what I find more impressive; your journey following this long list of clues to discover the origins of these Pokemon, or your ability to remember it all and produce this awesome video about it.

Having Pokémon Box is quite impressive since it is one of the most rare GameCube games ever usually being a few hundred dollars so it’s quite a feat just to have it

That story about your father really almost made me shed a tear. I hope he is resting in peace and looking down and you and being proud of who you've become.

it's so wholesome that you named an unkown "daddo" and then transported that to your switch to keep the memories. may the memories bloom.

I've been watching this channel since like 2016, and I think that this is absolutely my favorite video. I've been thinking about it for days since I watched it, it was so emotional and I could feel the passion that went into making it!!!

I legit teared up when you talked about Daddo. It's a beautiful sentiment and a cherished reminder of someone very special. Bet he would be super proud of you now.
  • @SemiHypercube
It's really neat how 20+ year old Pokemon can still be used even in current games
  • @TheIrvman08
Never thought I would be emotional over an Unown 🥺 What a cool video, I can’t imagine what it was like going through and finding all these things
  • I was genuinely brought to tears when Daddo came up. That discovery right there is something truly special.

This is interesting. I love how it feels like an Unsolved Mysteries series. The fact your Unown D was named Daddo made me think of my Grandmother, who passed away in April. Thank you for making this video.
  • Whenever the name “Daddo” was flashed on my screen with sad music playing, I immediately knew the whole story. I also lost my father at a young age, so seeing this immediately brought me to tears. I hope you can keep Daddo with you forever Mikey
  • @FunkyFreshCaesar
Mike, thank you for sharing both this really fun video and telling us about your dad. I lost my mum in 2008 at age 15, hearing your story of finding those little impacts your dad had on your life made me both tear up and smile a bit.
