What do you think of this Metal Detector? For the price of $269.00 USD it may not replace your high end machines but I think it has strong potential to be a backup or main unit for someone just getting into metal detecting.

  • Good buy Austin! I’ve owned the Equinox 700 for three weeks now, great machine. I’m thinking seriously on buying the Exterra for a backup just because of being waterproof. The VDI’S are the same as the NOX 700 so far 88-90 Quarter 81-83 dime 60-65 zinc penny 68-76 copper penny 78 usually a wheat penny. 25-28 nickel 29-39 pull tabs & 40-50 almost always a ring pull with beaver tail. Silver rings are also in the high 40’s to 50. 14K rings 10-16. Sorry about the long comment.
  • Just picked one up. Feels light, well balanced. Seems quality built. Interface is pretty user friendly. A bit more so than Simplex. Being able to adjust handle position is great. Took out for a quick swing. Hit on point for test targets. Happy do far.
  • Thanks for a straightforward video. I just ordered one. Been a while since I bought a new machine will be fun for the beach this summer!
  • @ifindmetal
It’s actually Great ! My 600 leaked and I bought this for a backup machine it absolutely performs in the salt water as good as the Equinox does
  • Thanks for your content. Seems to a lot better than the Simplex on the beach. May have to be my next machine.
  • @user-vn5ky1ub9f
Great video showing the XT pro I've been looking at him to buy one for a long time now
  • @daviesmia
the out of round shaft is a huge improvement
  • Wow, minelab put a Simplex on the design staff table and said “make it look just like this”
  • If I was on a strict budget, new to the hobby, and wanting to hunt in the water at saltwater beaches I would choose it over the simplex, AT Max, and the other Minelab machine that isn't water proof that you use. But if I wanted a detector that could keep up with the expensive top of the line multi-frequency but didn't want to fork out close to a grand I would stick with the Nokta Legend. Deus II is my dream machine though just because it looks to be the lightest and best performer on the beach.
  • Very good out of the box hunt. I like it, I like it a lot.. I want one. Someday I will have one in hand.. Thanks Austin for your straight up honest reviews and Videos.. Peace Brother.
  • Thanks just got an X-Terra pro myself looking forward to seeing more of your videos 👊👍
  • looking good!!! vdi seems a little jumpy, i get mine Sat. the first so will see how it likes the ground in Tennessee!
  • @Garedot
Man, now you have a quite investment in Metal Detectors... cheers
  • Awesome detector it remind of Etrac great listen by tone😊
  • @Napoli85
Is it still going strong? I live on the beach and am considering this detector as my first metal detector buy
  • The beach is the easiest spot to look. Best test is mineralized ground. I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on this.
  • Would you recommend this as an upgrade from the Vanquish 340? I know you use the 440, but they're similar machines. For reference, I do park hunts mostly
  • @moonrunner8791
Hey I really need some help. I’m looking to get my first detector. I’m stuck between the nokta findx pro, simplex lite, and the xterra pro. I’m trying to stay under $300. They’re all waterproof and seem pretty similar in features. What would you recommend? If you have any other recommendations under $300 new would be great. Thank you in advance! Love the channel dude!!
