DECLUTTERING for an EXTREME MINIMALIST HOME W/ Essentialism

I am slowly moving into the realm of essentialism & balancing my want for some aesthetic things in my extreme minimalist home. I often tell myself to ‘GET RID of EVERYTHING’ that is a distraction.

I like to show my thought process and minimalist versus essentialist mindset. Along with discussing how I am mindful of adapting versions of these practices to suit my lifestyle. That is, I like some elements of slow living. However, with some things I appreciate convenience. In the world of simple living. 'Simple' can mean something different for all of us. Some habits can actually complicate things. For instance, some of the growing aesthetic home storage routines can actually steal our time away from us. Which exactly the opposite of what I wanted to achieve on my minimalist journey. I am actually aiming to save as much time as possible with some elements of my minimalist life. So that I can focus on my main priorities. Albeit, I do appreciate good design, interior design, minimalist style and design.

  • I love that your hair is a mess and you arent wearing any makeup. It gives you a dont care attitude in a really good way.
  • The tripod misbehaving made me chuckle. I love how down to earth you are in your videos!
  • I've only just started going in front of the camera for my minimalist channel. 1st time, I had a shower, washed my hair, straightened it for the 1st time in I cant even remember.... 2nd time. Greasy hair, scragged back in a ponytail with half of it falling out 😂 and I think I've got progressively more disheveled as the videos have gone on!! Part of my lifestyle choices is being conscious of how I use my time, if I have to go out of my way to look presentable, I won't make the video! I think you look lovely regardless and it's nice to see you and your home natural 🩷

I've been decluttering heaps more! You've inspired me and challenged me (in a good way) to really think of what I truly need and brings value.

I recently found your channel and I’ve been watching all your old videos,I’m not a minimalist but you inspire me to get rid of things I don’t use 🎉I love all your content even the Vlogs so I second having another Channel for them ❤
  • Pidge made me laugh 😂 I have magpies who sit on my windowsill as I feed them. Maggie and Magnus!
  • @infestissumam_
your videos makes me so motivated! you are inspiring me to declutter more and live free from stuff 🩶

Great video! I agree with loose leaf tea frustration. I have Stash tea which is compostable tea bag on my grocery list!

Love this video, I am in the same boat going through things one more time and really asking myself is this or that really necessary there is so much we keep that is not really needed.

You can use the two little baskets for putting in your rice-sac etc, that aesthetic but is doesn't complicate the storage. You are so inspiring! But I'm not (yet) totaly over the aesthetic ;)
  • Just watched the whole video... I am in the EXACT same position as you with all the storage things in the kitchen.

Ha ha! Love your loose tea frustration! I had a simmilar issue with how I prepared my coffee. Pour over, Instant coffee, pour over in a glass container(to avoid plastic) and so on. Until I realised I was quitting coffee alltogether!(health issues like anxiety and heart palmation). I was so into this coffee making ritual. It was far out! Funny how you can get sucha a focus on things like that!

I'm not a minimalist but I love your channel and always curious about how others live .

I loooove your kitchen! You have to find a name for the Pidge as Rupert has a name too 😁 I understand for the tea, I hate when it's messy and I never know how much to put in a cup then I finish drinking the plants because it's not in proper teabag 🤢😂😂❤
