Thanks for your comment. I sort of agree with both points, in retrospect, the snare (or the reverb on it) could have been EQd a bit darker. There actually is some open hi hat going on in the chorus and the crunchy palm-muted guitar already plays the 1/8 notes in that chorus. Live and learn. :-)

This is a cool tune. The "reality/finality" lines are fantastic and I like how the percussion evolves throughout. It gives the tune just the right amount of dynamic changes. A couple nit picks, if you don't mind. 1) Roll off some of the high mids on the snare EQ and you can give the programmed sound a more authentic shine. 2) I think the perc needs to change a little in the second chorus. Even something as simple as bringing in an open HH might be enough to separate it from the verse.
