Back in 1997 I had this silly idea to parody Rocket Man into Rocket Fan. I ran it past my friend Bill Wiatrak and he thought it was very interesting and created a whole lyric. I made a rough recording and presented it at a Bay Area Songwriters meeting and Greg Gibson (we held the meetings at his recording studio at the time) professionally recorded it. We couldn't figure out a way to edit it to make it work to pitch to radio and so it remained whole. It is entertaining. Of course, The Summit is now the home of Lakewood Church. That's how long ago this was...lol
