I'm restoring my 69 Camaro, just installed a new stereo system. I am a cancer survivor and the first cd I play will be The Cars in honor of Benjamin Orr.
  • Honestly, I think this song could be released tomorrow and it would be a hit. That is how good it is.
  • So sad that Ben and Ric are gone. The first 3 albums by The Cars were absolutely amazing! Soundtrack of my adolescence.

As a kid I never realized just how many tunes Ben sang. As an adult I realize he was such a monster talent. Guy just showed up and did his job 110% Never had to over compensate to prove his worth.

The older I get the more I appreciate the cars music even more .. R.I.P Ben, you are missed everyday.

Ben Orr the quintessential 80's rocker, gorgeous, charismatic with a kick-ass voice who left this world too soon. The Cars will always be on my playlist no matter what year it is.

Watching Ben at the height of his looks and fame is makes it hard to watch him in the later years after the group broke up. Everything about him changed, his appearance, his stage presence, and his demeanor. I feel for him because he took the breakup so hard, and never seemed to get his footing back. But he kept on going until the end all with courage and dignity.
  • Ben just oozed cool all over this video. The faceless expression is so badass. Makes it look easy. Miss ya dude.
  • Ben Orr...... Only the coolest, best looking badass rocker to ever grace a stage. AND he could sing. I'm so lucky to have been born in the 60s and seen incredible bands and artists like this perform live. Great experiences, great memories. RIP Ben.
  • Ben was a perfect frontman for The Cars. He had one of the best voices in rock, he was a cool laid-back dude, and he was simply an all around good guy. Saddens me he died so young. You and Ric, rest easy, Ben. Thank you for all the great music you left us. Every damn time I hear this song I see Phoebe Cates stepping out of that pool in that tiny red bikini flashing her sweet, gorgeous smile.
  • Rest in peace, Ric Ocasek. I hope you and Ben are jamming in the hereafter.
  • I love how Ben just slides that little bass solo/ lick towards the end there. So smooth!

I was a Cars fan in the late 1970s and I still remain a Cars fan today! A killer band!
  • Benjamin Orr had such an amazing vocal range .... everyone in the band was so talented

I always think of Fast Times at Ridgemont High when I hear this song. Arguably the best use of s song in a movie I have ever seen. RIP Ben Orr.

Love Ben Orr! Love The Cars! They will forever be my favorite band of all time! RIP Ben- he was so handsome and cool and had an amazing stage presence. Their music will live on forever. I love this song so much! It has Ben’s deep vocals, Elliot’s classic guitar intro, and Greg’s super cool keyboards, a signature sound of The Cars. ❤️
