The TaylorMade P790 irons are part of TaylorMade's P700 iron series. This encapsulates all of the brand’s better player irons. I like how relatable you are. Not all shots are perfect, it feels more genuine. I ordered the new T200 but the P790 look just as nice.

Your review helped 👍🏻😀 Thanks 😀😀😀

Went with the sm9 vokey and picked up a 6 iron as well and I am playing some spectacular golf (upgrade from stealth irons)!
  • @kurtier
I picked up a demo set that was in my spec, lucky to find one so early. I was playing the i230s but wanted a little more help on the mistrikes. Ive played one round and they have definitely delivered. They are super consistent and have tons of stopling power. Taylormade has a real winner on their hands. Great review, always at the top of my list for new equipment reviews.

Just a great review,,have 7,8,9 and pw on order and undecided on an aw or a vokey 50 degree
  • @aspencer09
Think they will be my new irons, look fab! Great work 👍🏻

I agree with another comment that the pxg gen 6ps ror example are much better than these - feel, sound, accuracy too. Though that being said i recently switched from the gen 5 to the 2023 p770 (not the 790) and have not looked back since. Best irons i have ever had with great consistent distances and accuracy and even some workability should one need it.

awesome review as usual...you are looking awesome also....be well and stay safe....cheers from Canada
  • @Gwillis7
how would you compare these to the i230's? which did you find more forgiving
  • @home4ya
down to these and or Ping i230s, pros n cons per you? i had 2017 models and had some hot spots, have they fixed that? ;0) (ditching my "matty" wide soles jpx923hm-hl)

Thanks for reviewing these Hannah! I needed to see your opinion on these. I know a lot of people are raving about the Titlest 200s but I don’t like the chrome. These fit my eye better. For me I am down to the PXG Gen 6 or these P790s. I love the feel of the PXG gen 6 P model but if these are longer I probably will go with these. Have you tested the gen6s? And have an opinion between these two?
  • @jamesfrancis7284
Always awesome content...love the accent and that swing is 🔥. I realize both TM and Titleist sent you clubs for testing. When do we see a head to head and get the Hannah spin?
  • @lkae4
I feel like optimal spin window can be pretty narrow. I had 105S shafts that spun too little, swapped in 85S shafts that seem to spin too much. Probably not a good idea to hit a 6 iron or 7 iron at a big box store and dropping $1500 on a set of these.

Quite interested in these clubs. May wait until next year so this years model becomes last years model and the price comes down to the point I only have to resell one of my lungs 😜
  • @suprand
Never a better time in terms of choices to play a hollow body iron. But for me pxg gen 6 are the favorite
  • @paulmcgee1867
Seems a bit too close to Stealth in looks. In this category it seems they perform very well though, spin ok ish. Could you compare these to Stealth in a video?
  • @texasgold007
These irons look great but I can't get my head around the screws in the toe, much like the new ping irons.
  • @jimwocha4949
good irons but basically the same as the 2021 version with no major benefit. One review I saw said they are lower spin than 2021 which, for an already low spin iron can't be a good thing.
