Thing I hate most about it: That I don't own one

The side vents are not for cooling. They are to help equalize the pressure and prevent the hood from fluttering at highway speeds like the JK.

Older video, I know, but I have an auto 2-door JL and the auto stop/start is pretty quick. I like to zoom out of a stop and it's not laggy/sluggish or anything, but it is loud, which I didn't notice until I was driving ONCE without extremely loud death metal, haha.

Hey good to see another JL owner with a manual transmission. 👋

Most of your issues have some easy fixes/mods. Ex. Seat issue; remove your front seat bolts/nuts and loosen the rear, drop a couple or more washers in the front on each side to increase your lean angle and retighten. Recover your armrest in your preferred material. Theres a device to bypass the stop start. My problem would be 45k for any vehicle. That's insane!

Good looking Jeep. That back speaker placement is pretty dumb. I think they should have mounted it in the tailgate but an easy fix Jeep could do is give you a quick disconnect for the grill. Fuel range, seat adjustment and interior materials comments are spot on.

My jeep wrangler Rubicon has a few needed modifications lift 40 tires 456 gears and the hemi engine. I love it.

Have the same Jeep as yours, JL 2dr rubi in sting grey w/ cloth seats, but with a soft top and auto. The start-stop seems pretty smooth and hardly noticeable.
-
Wow man, I respect you for getting the 2 door manual rubicon. That’s exactly how I would spec mine as well. Love it bro.
-
I couldn’t imagine having to deal with start stop and a manual transmission. Thats a lot of distraction to me. But thats a beautiful rubicon. I just picked up my unlimited sport s last week. So far i love my JL

Hey, great video. I am buying a new 2 door JL soon. I have a 2015 JK. The rear speaker issue can be solved by getting a piece of black garden fabric (very thin) and glueing it over the speaker grille. Did that on mine and works great.

I was told the side vents are to reduce hood flutter at high speeds. U can cut out those top vents to make them functional fairly easily also.
-
Stack some washers on the front bolts of the seat lol

I agree with your complaints. My 2 door JL Rubicon has an auto so the stop start is smooth (still hate it) and I’m glad I didn’t get the premium sound because there is much needed storage compartment instead. I do love my Jeep though.

Dirt in the subwoofer is an issue on the 4 dr too. I took the speaker out completely, turned it over and shook it till all the dirt/seeds/fluff etc fell out. It took a while. Also mark the wires so you reinstall them correctly.

I'm happy with my 2018 JLU sport, 2 inch Fox lift, 35 inch tires. For the off roading I do, don't need lockers and all the extras on the Rubicon. It gets me everywhere I want to go...

Great videos man, been following. I appreciate these first hand reviews as I am waiting for my two door to arrive, hopefully any week now!

You can buy the incline kit for your seats. They're about $20 and takes about 20 minutes to install.

My man thank you for pointing all of that out. I’m so glad you’re not one of those people who bought an automatic transmission in a jeep..(I’ll never understand, to each his own I guess) but ..on the real... that color, the 2 doors, the manual transmission. Absolutely perfect and beautiful my brother. I’m betting if you do some homework that you can find some way to bypass that engine switch if you haven’t already. The speaker, there must be something available to protect it that won’t hinder too much of the sound. I can’t get over how beautiful she is man. Be proud of yourself for being the owner of such a beautiful machine

I agree about the "auto stop/start". I have the automatic transmission and it's still annoying. I sometimes forget to hit the button when I get in and it's almost unsettling when it turns off at an intersection when you're not expecting it. I wish it would remember it's last setting when you start it up. Also, when you opt for the leather interior it upgrades the armrest to soft touch and contrasting stitching along with the dash. Great video! I really like mine and it is hard to pick things I don't like but the auto stop start is at the top of my list.
