India is developing its indigenous GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri engines, which will eventually replace American F404 engines in the Tejas and power the future Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), a fifth-generation fighter jet. The AMCA, designed as a single-seat, twin-engine stealth aircraft, aims to achieve air supremacy, ground strikes, and electronic warfare missions. With an expected prototype rollout by 2026 and induction starting around 2030, the AMCA will feature advanced avionics, AESA radar, and stealth capabilities. The project signifies India's progress towards self-reliance in defense manufacturing, creating a robust aerospace ecosystem and enabling the development of sixth-generation technologies.

Sir, is it possible for us to attain the sanctioned strength of 42 squadrons by 2035 at the latest, as we know that this is insufficient in the event of a three-front war? The 110 kn thrust next generation engine development exists only on paper. No confirmation at all. RR or GE Aerospace or Safran. It's been going on for a decade now. AMCA ki bat mat karo uncle Tejas flop ho gaya hai....Delay psr Delay ho rahi hai...IAF vice Air marshal ka press release hum sab ne dekhbliya hai...Nikammi HAL ka kam bhibdekh liya 23 sal me bas 40 and 1 crashed...US ke engine has proved costly.. 🙏🙏🙏
