Josh, you are killing me. Every single time I hear you talk about something new from Silca I feel an overwhelming compulsion to buy it. I just ordered the mech hanger for my Tarmac SL7 simply because you told me to. And, I have no doubt that the shifting on my Di2 waxed chain drive train will go from perfect to ultra perfect. Thanks and keep up the amazing work.
  • @minimedic7749
New to cycling last year and so thankful I stumbled upon your brand and channel. Now have a handful of your products and a happy user of waxed chain now. Love it. Been intrigued by these so glad you did video explaining it. And now I know im no world tour rider and never will be. But ordered one of these truly to continue supporting your brand and the marginal benefits it provides. hooray for quick and quiet shifting. Thank you for all you do for the cycling community.

Not gonna lie, I was shocked at the price. A cheaper hanger is $20. A nicer one is $40. I figured a 3D ti hanger would cost $500. So yeah, $85 isn't a bad price for a pretty bling product that actually performs a function. I've wasted a lot more money on a lot less useful products on a bike.
  • @robdogracing
Nice work Silca Fam! Im Currently an “acoustic kid” with all cable actuated shifting and rim brake bikes, but you better believe it when I eventually upgrade to a bike with through axles. I’m getting one of these nifty Ti Silca hangers.
  • @marcospola
Amazing product, as usual! And the explanation is like a phD lecture, i love it

Been waiting for one of these hangers for my Tarmac SL7 for a while now but it was always sold out, but this video reminded me to check for more stock, and finally got my hands on one. Nice informative video regarding the product launch. I think I pretty much have all the Silca products at this point. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
  • @PeakTorque
Hey Josh, i am a fan of your work let me say. But, some of your figures have me scratching for the BS meter: at 4:22 the Ti version shows to be 5x stiffer for the same geometry as Aluminium. At absolute best SLM Ti is 1.5x stiffer and Aluminium (105 GPa vs 70GPa), with the same geometry. So how do you come up with that? At 10:20 you say you improve stiffness 6-12x over an Alu hanger. IF you want the ultimate in stiffness you are better off going with steel and in like for like geometry you're only going to get 3x. Please let me know if I have missed something!
  • @cipo36an203
Josh, I think you took a shortcut saying that low grade, low stiffness aluminium alloy. All the aluminium aloys have mostly the same stiffness at 70GPA. I will agree they may be of low strength (reach plastic deformation with less stress, so permanently bent wisth greater ease). This being said I appreciate the analyse around the specific of a TA frame (versus the traditional rim brake frames)
  • Love these information videos and love this product and hope I can get one for my pinarello grevil f gravel bike soon 🙏
  • Great video and would love to get one for each of my 2023 Giant TCR Advanced SL bikes.

Another great Silca engineered, MG product, Josh. You must already know that your customers and audience await every single new Silca product release. It gets all of us with open-minds thinking more about other MG opportunities, too. 🤔 I get why you suggest these are only for thru-axle bikes! 👍 However, already I can hear my Cervelo RCA frameset screaming out loud, 😱 "What about me?" (🎶), unlike my R5 & RS framesets that don't care nearly so much. 🥱 You may have heard a classic Aussie song with this title above. My wallet also shouts out similar things. Potentially catastrophic events are always a threat to bikes ridden in the real world. Sticks and crashes don't care what brake system you're riding with, they can just happen to any of us. Even you said that non thru-axled frames are more vulnerable to such damage.🤪 There are a few (possibly many) brands that have used the exact same hanger over many generations of their frames. Will you re-consider making hangers for some of the perhaps 'more collectable' framesets? Some of us are not yet interested in, or able to, consider thru-axles. Didn't you wanna help us keep these bikes out of landfill, too? 😭This will become especially so as original spec hangers become less accessible as spares. It's not like I'm asking you to make a taller sock for those of us who are, in fact, taller, is it? 😇 🙏
  • Litespeed made a Ti hanger for the C1 when that bike came out in probably 2010. The Ti hanger worked so much better than the original aluminum hanger. It was definitely a worthwhile upgrade. I would be interested in hangers for SystemSix and a Hanzo
  • @ankjaers
I’m far from world tour pro. I think some commuters ride longer over a year than me. But what I am is busy with family, work and just life in general. If I can just save some down time on my bike by not needing to adjust gears this product is worth it to me.
  • @brianmcinnis3886
I would love to see a hanger for the Otso WARAKIN TI. Thanks for my favorite tech show on the internet!
  • Yep, you are completely right. I don't need it. Honestly, I don't even want it. But....I am very interested!
  • I would love to get one for my Ibis Mojo 4. The same hanger is used on a ton of pre-UDH Ibis models.
  • @hbade
Can't wait to get one for the BMC Teammachine R!
  • @eBikerHowie
Most bike frames are not perfectly aligned with the cassette. I always have to align the derailleur hanger with any new bike I build. How do I accomplish a slight alignment problem with a Ti UDH?
  • I got to test the GX Transmission extensively, and the shift execution is impressive. I have a new Ibis DV9 with UDH and regular GX, if this Ti hanger gets me anything closer to the Transmission feel I might need to try it.
  • @JS-bs2vb
Brilliant! Yes, it’s for me even though I’m not a pro. Can you make it for Wilier 0 SLR/SL.
