fun fact a reporter who interviewed Simo Häyhä asked him "what did you feel when you shot all these people?" his answer was "the recoil"

What's so crazy about Simo Hayha is that he never used a scope unlike most of the other entries on this list did. He used strictly iron sights. He did this to avoid fogging up the scope lenses and to avoid the glint giving away his position.
