Tried a few new techniques for this one so I hope you all like it! I talked about this on Twitter for a bit, but I've been dedicating a ton of time behind the scenes to learn 3D scene construction in hopes that it'll allow me to really open my topic range up for 2021 and onward. Daily, I pass up on tons of incredibly interesting cases that I'd love to cover, but have never really had a way to "show" anything. I apologize for this video being shorter than the norm - that's partly chalked up to the fact that I needed to test the waters to see if I could actually pull this stuff off. It took some work, but I'm thrilled that I was able to. With that being said, I'm already at work on the next one and while it'll be something you've probably heard of, I'm going to pull out all the stops and make the presentation wholly refreshing and unique. It's an incident that I've had on my whiteboard for like a year, and I've decided it's finally time. Run time will be more or less 35 minutes or so. ANYWAY, hope you enjoy. If you hate it then lemme know what I can do better and I'll take it into account moving forward. đź–¤
  • Imagine being in the middle of a lawsuit and your lawyer just d i s s a p e a r s.
  • @VileAux
Kinda sad the two turkey sandwiches weren’t rendered in 3D. Their placement in the fridge could’ve helped crack this case wide open

14:29 “After becoming fascinated with the topic of missing persons, he decided to become one himself”
  • I knew 9/11 changed airline safety but being able to board a plane without a valid ID is insane to me like this was 30 years ago...
  • @youdbettertube
Leaving behind his wedding ring seems like a pretty big red flag

Are we not gonna talk about Peter Ditter who's out here identifying as many missing people as he can? What a guy. All the respect to him for using his position to do such a thing.
  • My grandma worked with David Lewis and my mom and aunt went to school with his daughter. The case is absolutely bananas. My family didn't know he ended up killed in a hit and run because all they ever heard was just that he went missing. I feel terrible for his family finally finding his body over a decade later, only for almost no questions to be answered

I'm seriously impressed by the scene reconstruction. The police cars even look like period-correct caprice models. Such great attention to detail. Absolutely love your content.
  • It’s genuinely disturbing to me how many cases like this there are. Someone tells their loved ones they don’t feel safe, they think they’re in danger, etc. The person then vanishes and is seen behaving strangely by strangers and witnesses. The person is seen acting frantic and like they’re in hurry. Then they vanish without a trace, never to be seen again. Creepy as hell.

imagine not seeing your dad for 10 years and the next time you hear about him you find out he's dead. that's horrible.

In my country, a lawyer suddenly disappeared in 1994. His body was found 28 years later in 2022, sunken 44 meters into the Baltic Sea. A business partner of his then pleaded guilty to the murder and was convicted. The case is a great example of excellent police work when it comes to investigating crimes.
  • Whatever the reasons were for his disappearance, be they real or imagined, may David Lewis rest in eternal peace.

Deceiving thumbnail. That's an airplane, not a human. It's name is not David Lewis.
  • @theshrike8382
His ex-firm should be looked at closer. They had the most to benefit from his disappearance.
  • @pallerdog
VHS tapes had 3 different recording types that decreased the quality, but tripled the amount of room to record up to 12 hours on a single tape.
  • @prototype_11
Someday he will say: "welcome guys, to Disturbing Things From Around The Internet, 12."
  • @stinkmymeat
It’s weirdly poignant and sweet that he made sandwiches for them.
  • @cy_was_taken
I'll be honest, looking at the title and the thumbnail I thought this was a Lemmino video

This reminds me a bit of the murder of Blair Adams, a Canadian man who suddenly embarked on a cross country trip across the US after telling others that someone was out to kill him, and ended up being found murdered in a parking lot in Tennessee. Both the identify of his killer(s) and his reason for being in Tennessee (among many other questions) are still unknown.
