  • I just spent 12 days in Scotland the first week of October. It was my first trip out of America and I did NOT want to come back home and I am already planning to go back. It was the most wonderful and magical experience I’ve ever had. Everything was so beautiful and everyone was so nice. The weather was….wet and while the temperature was around mid 40’s to mid 50’s if you dress nice and are walking ALOT like we were you will be comfortable if not get hot. I had a raincoat on most of the time and a scarf and would end up getting too hot. Our trip started in Edinburgh then took a train to Inverness and w got a car there. Then we drove down to Fort William and after a couple days there we headed to Isle of Skye for three days. Again, so much rain but it creates a certain vibe/mood and while the clouds and fog obstruct the view, that view is still stunning.
  • Hi Ladies. Bless you for defending the unique pronunciation of Scotland - he actually made a bit of a pig's ear of most of the place names but I'm a Londoner, I only know them because I have a very good Scots friend and I've been up there several times. In the Highlands when the sun is shining you can be comfortable in a T-shirt from May to October but when it's raining you can freeze to death :-( When someone comes back from a holiday in Scotland looking brown you can never be sure if it's a tan or rust... I look forward to the video of Driving Miss Debbie :-)
  • As a Welshman I can honestly say I live in a beautiful country and am lucky to do so. Having said that Scotland just raises the bar it is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. I fortunately have many Scottish friends ( I’m ex forces) an go visit often. Listen to an old man…. Life’s too short… don’t talk about it do you’ll not regret it. Scotland is absolutely stunning.

Seeing non Scottish people react so well to my country makes me feel so proud ❤ thank you
  • When you get to Scotland one castle that's so wrapped up in Scottish history is Stirling Castle. Very much worth a look.
  • @Maxley..
Hello, loves. You're right about the Skye grass. It's soft and spongy because it's usually damp and there's moss and peat under it. American grass is tough, spikier and the stalks are broad. I can't believe I'm spending my early Sunday morning comparing intercontinental grass textures. 💛

Being from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I really appreciate it when Americans or people from other countries take the time to learn the correct pronunciation of our cities and other places of interest. You’ve earned yourself a new subscriber 😊
  • People may disagree, but May and early June are quieter times if you want peace- out of the school holidays. Additionally, September is great to see the autumn colours and deer and squirrels, if you’re lucky. Also, thank you for standing up for Glasgow’s pronunciation!
  • Scotland is absolutely breathtaking. Mark's paintings are incredible, the composition of the Hastings Castle is perfect.
  • Thank you both, another great video. Love how Natasha gets annoyed with his pronunciations 😂 you are one of us now! 😉
  • I'm a new subscriber and I liked you both straight away. I'm from Manchester England and I first saw your football stadium video. I love the way your so enthusiastic about our country and so respectful to learn our culture and pronunciations its very impressive. Looking forward to watching more content from you two.

Summer in Scotland is my favourite day of the year

Hi back cousin. Canadian but ancestry from Kilfinan, Argyll on Loch Fyne. Scots have contributed so much to the world, inventions, architecture, nation building, you name it. Amazing for such a small country. Beautiful scenery. Eerie solitude. Little wonder it's the home of so many legends and myths. I believe Scotland has more sheep than people.
  • @Dan.Dawson
It wouldn't be Sunday morning if we wasn't spending it with Natasha & Debbie! Thank you both for another great video..👍 I can see why the Queen felt most free and at her happiest in those Scottish hills.. And Mark, your paintings are stunning!

Natasha yelling “stop saying it” has me dying laughing at the moment! Got a bit further on I especially loved the narrator “not sure if I said that right” Natasha “probably not” 🤣🤣🤣
  • June to September is the best time to visit Scotland. Around June the days are longer, so it’s possible to see more in daylight! If you’re in the country long enough, you could drive up the East Coast and back down the West Coast, where the scenery is more dramatic.

I stay in the North East of Scotland just north of Aberdeen and the temperature varies quite a lot. If you get a really decent day in summer it can be 75f and sunny but can also be rainy and 55f at the same time of year. Summer days are long - sunrise around 4am and sunset around 10.30pm in early July. Winters are cold and wet generally with short days, sunrise 8.45am and sunset 3.15pm in Mid December. Thank for sharing your wonderful videos, you guys are amazing. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️🇺🇲

❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿love from Scotland. If you love Castles check out Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven on the East Coast, it’s magical too. Also, for a completely different experience of Scotland check out the East Neuk of Fife for beautiful fishing villages and coastline xx
