One of humanity’s worst traits is clinging to religious and cultural tradition even when it causes needless pain, suffering, and strife.

"They said its a genetic disease but I do not think so." -The man with 4 out of 5 kids effected. Thats not a case of disagreeing with a subject. Thats straight up denial.

Producing more children like this, after the first, is criminally negligent.

No one should be marrying their cousins whether first or distant. Your cousins are like siblings. Period!!

Egyptians married their brothers and sisters and the rate of congenital defects was very high. Tutankhamen was a product of brother sister incest and had a cleft palate, spina bifida, club feet, and epilepsy. The links between close genetic /incestuous relationships resulting in children with severe mental and physical impairments and diseases are well established. Whoever chooses to breed with their first cousin should also take on the responsibility of accepting their culture of incestuous marriages is harmful to their children and a large risk. That is not to say disabled children don’t deserve to live, but these are avoidable genetic disorders.

Why is this not illegal in the UK when it’s such a drain on the healthcare system?

I feel bad for the first boy. His mind thinks normally like the teenager he is but he just can’t control the body he’s stuck in. So sad. I don’t get why the parents decided to have more children.

Child marriage, Marrying first cousins … cultural? What about the strain on the NHS ? How cruel to actually put you child through this .

To think that the European kings and queens thought breeding from within the family would keep the bloodline pure. The irony.
