The Official Sonic.EXE Take [Full Gameplay & All SECRETS]

I like how Eggman looks genuinely on edge. Based on how he usually monitors Sonic and his friends, he’d probably heard or seen what happened. He may or may not know that Sonic’s coming, but he’s scared nevertheless.

The way he slowly writes I AM GOD instead of just text. And then he “breaks the monitor.”

The addition of Tails and Knuckles slowly being brutally murdered while the screen is pitch black was incredible. Tails is slowly ripped apart from the sounds of it, and Knuckles coughs up blood after having his entire abdomen crushed. Really adds to the horror.

Alan = Tails. Dave = Knuckles. Paul = Robotnik. People in real life alluding to fictional horror is absolutely terrifying, just like Needlemouse. Good job Joe.

What I have to give credit for is that the developers didn't just give Tails simple crying or sad looking sprites in the first stage like everybody who makes exe games does, like "Oh no, animals are dead, this is not making me happy but whatever, I'll just keep going" but instead, they made him actually look frightened, confused AND upset looking, like "Holy shit, what has happened here?! Who could have possibly murdered ALL of these poor animals?! Is he still here? Is he gonna get me next?! I've got to run!"

What I really like about this remake is how authentic it feels. It feels like an actual Sonic ROM hack or unknown cartridge that you can find somewhere. From the Music, the sound design and everything. Makes me pumped up for what Sonic PC Port has in store.

I've seen many versions of Sonic.exe but this one. Geez.. he just feels so much terrifying here, especially in Hide and Seek where you can see him get more and more happy the closer he gets to Tails. The spritework here is probably the best I've ever seen in a Sonic.exe game. I especially like what Tails, Knuckles and Eggman look like when they are killed in the Character Select menu. They look as terrifying as Sonic himself.

imagine if this was the first Sonic.EXE fan game released. the world would've exploded from how much more popular Sonic.EXE would've been. so proud of how far the fandom has come since the (quite honestly) cringy days of this character's existence

10:05 I still can't get over how messed up Knuckles face looks here. The fact there's still one eye wide open and his broken jaw is easily the most messed up in comparison to the other 3. Whoever drew this piece,I want to give them a thanks for making something so disturbing yet so intriguing to look at

Fucking love how they added sound effects to the killings of each victims especially when u can imagine how it looks when the screen turns pitch black! This remake is absolutely better and I hope I can also play it when I get the chance!

Honestly...this game is FAR better than any of the other sonic.exe "remakes" I've seen. It takes all the scariness of all the other good sonic.exe games and implements them into this one flawlessly. Gotta give Joe and the team credit cuz they really outdid themselves on this one.

It's been a decade ever since I seen the original Sonic.EXE game. It was scary when I first remembered it and I'm sure for this generation, this newest take Joe made will bring the same experience with better ways too. it's been 11 years, god im old

Knuckles death screen honestly most creepy out of all. Not TERRIFYING, but definitely creepier than most others.

I think the mini ARG is my favourite aspect of this. The images are eerie to look at, and the secrets hidden in them to locate the game is very neat too.

This one was really well made and Tails and Knuckles being brutally murdered with a black screen really brings it out instead of just a repeating scream and the Kefka laugh. Well done Joe!
