For me this sound gem is a heartfelt, emotive and touching song. This is for me one of the greatest songs ever written, a great cover, in a typical Allie way: pitch-holding, enchanting, worldclass, rich in colour, loud clear sound, authentic, convincing, no compression effects, relaxed, fascinating tender, sensual, magic, vehement, characterful, sovereign and with playing joy. But what makes her vocals artful and extraordinary is touched by a passionate and soulful feel. But Allie is also a performer. The music and the lyrics together with her fab freeform guitar work are a reflection of her and embody the soundtrack of her. 🎤🎸✨

I don't know how Allie does it, but she always manages to improve her cover version of this song a bit more. Great guitar playing, highly emotional singing with successful changes between loud and quiet parts. And the cheers from the audience at the end say it all! Great, Allie! 🤩👍🌹

World class. She owns her own version of this song now. She did a great session with Zoe Clarke and a drummer recently too in which her now more mature lower register really shines. I think she is beginning to find her feet in this next phase of her brilliant singing career. It is really wonderful to witness. Keep the focus Allie - work each word and each note. Way to go!

Once again the incredibly creative Allie Sherlock makes an old classic song new again by giving it a ‘twist’. In fact this was a very clever and well thought out version, both vocally and instrumentally 👏👏👏👏👏❤️
