Why do people cheat? How do the cheats work? These are questions you'll have an answer to by the end of the video.

The video goes through the most common types of cheats that people use, example uses and visual explanations in order to better help you understand how they work. It's important to state that for the sake of simplicity, a lot of assumptions were made and details were skipped so that non-technical viewers can understand the "core concepts" of these cheats.

I also want to note that some of the names in the video like "replacement/duplication attack" were chosen by me as they're somewhat relevant to what is being done. In reality, there are a lot of ways to call this type of "attack" such as MITM (Man in the middle), Proxy attacks etc etc

Video chapters:
0:00 - Introduction
0:15 - Why do people cheat?
1:00 - Profit cheaters
2:11 - Bots
4:18 - Mod menus
4:58 - Network hacks
7:30 - Sponsor segment

I love how simplified you made this video for non-gamers, I can tell you really worked hard not only on the (incredibly smooth) animations but simplfiying explanations down to the bare bones as well.
  • @jsbots
Thanks for the video. Didn't know there's a special terminology for type of bots. From the point of creator I consider bots more interesting and fun to make rather than cheats. When you watch your bots doing something on their own, there's always something mystical to it, as if you created something alive.

You also have the cheaters that cheat just to experiment and see if they can, same concept as people who do actual hacking on random systems as well. I consider myself one of them, I don't cheat to be harmful to anyone (which my cheating I usually do in singleplayer stuff), I normally cheat just to experiment and see if I can do anything fun that the game didn't originally intend for.

The quality of the video is so good! Very concise too and glad you got a sponsorship, hope this channel works out for you!

I may be 9 months late, but you've earned yourself a subscriber for the high quality content.
  • I hate to admit this, though cheating is annoying, bad, and unsportsmanlike, etc... its also impressive that people can program something this advanced
  • I use to be one of those "profit cheaters" writing programs that people would use to cheat. I've stop along time ago but this video is great and accurate. It clears up the fact that cheats and basically computers and general aren't magic and have each side has complicated mechanisms. An extra tip however: Most good mod menus also use the network manipulation so mod menus and network hacking aren't completely separate.
  • Then there's the singleplayer-only cheaters like myself which despise this kind of cheating. Anyway, I might have known all of this, but Kian certainly did a fantastic job at explaining things to those that don't. Good work! Keep it up!
  • @revyyyyy
Great job Kian. Amazing to see the final video, after the few snippets you showed us :D
  • Wow, really nice animations and well explained! Great job. Congrats on your first sponsor!
  • @Natumi.
this was a really well made video! i already knew the superficial things about hacks, but i didnt know it can go into detail like this! it was pretty easy to understand and follow, and the editing is really good! im surprised this doesnt have more views.
  • @WearyShy
Awesome can’t wait! Edit: this was very good! Learned a lot in just a few minutes!
  • @Lerre
Well structured video. I didn't myself learn a lot of new stuff, but i will definitely link this video to someone that doesn't know about thede things. Especially since you explained it better here than i could in a million years. Also older games have another kind of cheater type from what i've seen. The kind that are decent/good at the game, but start cheating just because it gives the game something new.

Finally the only YouTuber that puts sponsor part at the end of the video...
  • @nubcops220
Your videos are awesome, simple, and self-explanatory. Thank you
  • I already knew most of this but this video was great, I think this is a great way to explain this to people not as knowledgeable on the subject
  • Wow, thank you for this concise and very informative video. Awesome work, my dude!
  • @Froguko.
This is one of the smoothest and most concise yet informative videos ive ever seen on this platform, brilliant work Kian :)
  • @RetroMadnessOC
Love how you explain it so simplified, even i know how it works but it's good for people that don't know.
