I can't believe Maya owns an animal sanctuary and has never heard of microchipping your pet. In Illinois it costs about $10 for your vet to chip them and $25 to register the animal to your name. You should all be doing this because the pounds and shelters immediately scan for chips when they are found so they can be returned to their owner!!

My cat Dunkin I got from my ex GF. Her mom couldn't keep the cat where she lived, so the cat came to live with us. We broke up like 2 weeks later, and since she was moving back with her mom where the cat wasn't allowed I got to keep him. For a cat I didnt' want in the first place i would literally murder for him he's been my sweet boy for 10 years now

On the cheating and finding out in person vs on text. Sometimes the person shoots the messenger. This happened to me with a close friend. She was dating a guy, who one day was smoking weed with my older brother and some mutuals. This guy clearly didn't know my brother was good mates with her brothers either. He made jokes the whole time about how much he was cheating on her. Obviously my brother told me, because he didn't want to end this guy's life by telling her older brothers. I told her, it ended out friendship. She didn't believe me. Sadly she went on to have a kid with this guy, and only found out how much he was cheating when a friend admitted she had slept with him, and he also knocked up another girl. Some people need to see it to believe it.

I "hey girlied" my fathers fiance (they were together for 7 years) when I found out he had a sidechick (he married the sidechick 2 years after) That was 10 years ago. Lost contact with her when she moved a year later and only met her again a few weeks ago. She told me again and again how thankful she was that I told her, cause she got cancer shortly after moving and she firmly believes that she wouldn't have made it when the news came out at that point. Always tell people the wrongs that are being done to them behind their backs.

Maya's comment about how parents would feel about their kid in a long-term high school relationship where they see red flags has me so curious to ask my parents how they felt when I was in that situation. They almost certainly wanted us to break up for years.
