  • Ran my SCAG turf tiger 2, with heavy use for 11 years. Sold it for 1/2 price and it is still going today (15years)

Definitely need to include kubota - my zero turn diesel with 60 inch deck is a true workhorse that just “goes -goes-goes” . I use it on my farm cutting 6 acres of grass plus lot of rough fence line edges that I should use a tractor bush hog for - I added trailer hitch and it pulls a light trailer which often gets way to much weight for its rating but the kubota doesn’t seem to even notice. Service at dealer is top notch and they will send service truck out if requested - best of all when I sold the first kubota I owned I got more in resale than what I paid for it from a landscaper who was thrilled to get it - my replacement which is just a larger unit is 7 years, 3500 hours of trouble free operation, and still no hydraulic /engine or oil issues. I do change fluids more often than manual recommendation but so I spent an extra couple hundred dollars over the years - a small price compared to savings in trouble free operation. You definitely should add Kubota to your lists and also show prices for all the different machines
  • Had a Scag and tested a new Scag while waiting for parts, machine overheated twice. Looked at Scag, Farris, Wright, Toro, JD and Bobcat. My local Scag dealer sucks. Bought a Bobcat ZT7000 and am very happy. Toro was a little bit of a let down for the price. Wright surprised me with an excellent machine but was being sold by the same scrappy Scag dealership. The dealership made the difference followed by quality of the machine, then price.

I’ve mowed commercially since 1992 and I’ve never found a better mower then grasshoppers I run 725D with 61” power fold decks

I have a 2016 Dixie Chopper Silver Eagle with a 27 horse Kohler EFI and 60” deck that I bought new. In 7 years it has had nothing done to it except routine maintenance and still runs as good as the day I bought it. It’s a tank.

Bought a new Ferris IS3000 in 2004, been using for residential mowing for past 20 years, it’s been and still is an awesome machine………

Kubota definitely should have been on this list. I love their shaft mower deck. They have alot of great features to.
  • I had a few of these brands in the past and switched to country clipper with 1 joystick control and flip up deck. This thing is amazing.
  • We love our bobcat commercial zero turn, never had any problems, the bobcat skid steer co bought them out and paint them white now.

Round up has worked the best for my grass care needs.

The thing that I noticed was that the John Deere left uncut grass whereas all the other mowers seemed to cut all the stalks.

John Deere also has hydraulic lift deck and cross porting hydros. Also very easy to service and get parts.

I bought a Kioti last year. Been very happy with it so far. I looked at Spartan but Kioti had the suspension seat which also had a higher back which is more comfortable.

A spreadsheet or table breaking down the scoring criteria by model would be quite useful.

Forgot Hustlers Hyperdrive mower which is an upgraded Super Z. Nobody else in the market offers a drive system like the hyperdrive, or warranty. I wanted to go with the Scag but the Hyperdrive is the goat. Also, Vanguard engines are available with it not just the Kawi.
  • Warranty is the most important to me and you can’t beat Exmark in that category! I’ve broke parts around peak season and since it was a warranty repair I got to cut everyone and everything was free! I was back to making money quick!
