I hope this will be of use to people researching on whether to get a sun conure as a pet. Compared to dogs and cats, looking after a bird takes much more dedication and time.

Most people talk about how easy they are to care first, but for sun Conures, the first question judges their loudness.

Hey! Thought I'd leave a comment about the seed mention. Pellets are processed, yes. However, they aren't overprocessed. TOPs with a B12 vitamin supplement, Harrison's, ZuPreem Natural, and a few other brands are very good for your birds with moderation of a healthy chop mix. Pellets look so processed because they contain a lot of vitamins that your bird cannot usually get in captivity. Parrots are exotic, and some vitamins cannot be supplemented with seeds. A mostly seed diet can lead to many health problems later in life. Like fatty liver disease. They're an extremely fatty food. Peanuts are not good for your birds! There is mold spores in them! In shell OR out. Almonds are a better choice for treats! Remember, a millet stick per month is good enough if you feed millet. And on the mention of different foods. Watermelon and iceberg lettuce aren't the greatest. There's very little nutrition that comes from them. It's mainly water. Sorry for this long message, but there was a lot of misinformation!

He is so beautiful with his brilliant and colorful feathers! And he seems so playful, inquisitive, and intelligent! Never thought of having birds because we've always had cats or dogs around us. But seeing this little guy makes me want one!! :-D Thank you for sharing this!

He so reminds me of my own Sun Conure ~ same colours who sadly passed away (21st November 2020) after 30 + years. 💔😪 I miss him terribly.

This is ear-piercing over headphones even at low volume. Very good demonstration.

My sun conure passed away two weeks ago , his name was rainbow. Its so heartbreaking to write this but I don’t want to get attached to anything again.

I just got myself a sun conure. Super lousy maybe because he's bored. Thank you for the video I'll add more toys for him soon 😊

Oh! he's so cute! I'm not a bird pet kinda person, but this video is very helpful for someone looking for a bird as a pet. Your cat and dog are super cute too. Happy bird-sitting. 😁

  • Omg I thinks he’s a mix between a sun conure and a red factor sun conure because his chest is really red compared to othe sun conures

That pillow in the bottom of the cage may cause hormonal problems same with the box. It may cause them to be aggressive towards you. Just a reminder!

I go to school 7 hours a day from 7 AM to 3 PM but my mom is home until 3 PM too so my future sun conure will not be lonely and I also have a young almost 6 month old cockatiel who doesnt like birds but he may get friendly with it if I dont show more affection to the conure, but I cant choose between barred parakeets/linnies or conures.
