I'd love to see a cake of a chess board with a bunch of little pieces on it. It wouldn't need to necessarily be a full board, but maybe like a few iconic pieces required for one of the smaller chess puzzles. You could go for a simpler board, or for a fancy marbled and wood set. I think it'd be neat!
  • This could take a surprise birthday party to a new level! The birthday person would walk in on a messy kitchen, and it would gradually turn out that it's actuallya neat kitchen, full of edible birthday-cake-mess!

Everything you've said about yourself I can relate, the absent-mindedness, easily getting distracted. I'm also the same and recently got diagnosed with ADHD and now my life finally makes sense lol.

One of the things I like most about your videos is how you tell your viewers about yourself during the voiceovers. It's not just oddly satisfying cake stuff. You're sharing your life, while sharing your talent, and you seem to really enjoy doing both.

I have the trait she described but I'm pretty sure it's just inattentive ADHD for me 😂 the ONLY reason I remember to turn off lights is purely because, as a kid, my dad would nag and stress out soooo much about it that it is now ENGRAINED in my muscle memory! I naturally do it even when my brain is not here.

Doing a charcuterie board would be cool. Either just made or nearing the end where it's just a few pieces of food left.
  • 3:43 In describing yourself, you have described my oldest son perfectly! I've found that people who have this "problem", usually are very creative and talented individuals. My son is a musician (Hunter Cupples, on itunes and Spotify) and very talented! He did this so much when he was little, and still, even now, at 22 years old, he struggles with it, although he has learned ways to control it a bit over the years. But because he has to control it so much at work, when driving, and in other places or things that require a lot of attention or focus, when he comes back home, it is super strong! It's like he is finally somewhere he feels comfortable and doesn't have any responsibilities which allows him to relax and not have to focus so hard, but rather just let his mind go where it naturally wants to go, which is normally a goofy, hilarious, creative, fun place!
  • 'I get sidetracked very easily' You could say this isn't sideserf cake studio, its sidetracked cake studio lol
  • Hi Natalie! What you're describing and the experiences you're going through sounds a lot like inattentive ADHD. Commonly mis-diagnosed in women spesifically. I am 31 and was only diagnosed about a month ago. Interestingly enough, people with adhd are usually creative individuals. Would maybe be worth it to have it checked out :)

I love how she talks about something completely random while showing the cake it’s like I’ve known her for years and we’re on a face time call it’s honestly one of the things that make me excited for Monday lol love ya🙌💝
  • @khalilahd.
Woah these fake plates look ridiculously real 😅 you’ve done it again 👏🏽👏🏽
  • @KelahCash
Husband Dave is doing an impeccable job w these shots & editing. I'm so impressed 😩✨️ *The cake looks GREAT! I definitely love that they're stacked haphazardly, too! The sound of the cut was by FAR my favorite one yet! I could listen to it on repeat! 😂 "These are dishes I don't feel bad breaking." That sounds like an amazing tagline 😩 it was perfect. Love your videos, Natalie Sideserf! (Ya just gotta say the whole name. 🥰)

Yeah that is exactly how me and my family with ADHD are. It's a serious problem when almost everyone in the house is so forgetful. My spouse has to keep me grounded.
  • 99% chocolate and 1% cake but I am in love with this cake! By any chance could you do a bonsai tree cake? NO PRESSURE ❤
  • @Sam_Peterson
You know those giant New Years hats people wear on New Years Eve in times square? Can you make one of those. I think that would be a fun challenge for you!
  • @orbweaver9750
What you describe sounds like every single friend of mine who has ADD (with slight differences from person to person.) This was one of your grosser cakes for me (though I'm sure it was delicious!) I just CANNOT with dirty plates, staked up with caked-on food. The sound of you cutting it at the end tho? 10/10.
  • Ideas for new hyper realistic cakes 😁 : -Balloon 🎈 -Bow of popcorn 🍿 -Headphones 🎧 -Backpack 🎒 - Cake balls in the shape of sushi 🍣
  • I so look forward to these cake videos. They start my week off right!
  • You’ve inspired me so much! I’ve recently gotten into decorating cakes using fondant and modeling chocolate. I’m making a cowboy boot cake this week using your tutorial from a few years ago. Keep up the amazing work - you are so talented!!!
