Leicester Square: hero security guard says he 'jumped on' assailant during alleged stabbing

The guard, who gave his name as Abdullah, 29, said he had worked in security at the TWG Tea shop for the past “seven to eight months”.
The Metropolitan Police said a man has been arrested after a 34-year-old woman and 11-year-old girl were stabbed in the incident.
Abdullah told the PA news agency: “I heard a scream, at that moment I saw there was one person, roughly (in their) mid-30s or early 30s, and he was like stabbing a kid – I jumped on him, held the hand in which he was (carrying) a knife, and just put him down on the floor and just held him and took the knife away from him.
“Then a couple of more people joined as well, and we just held him until the police came, it took maybe three to four minutes for the police to arrive and then they just took him into custody.”
He and his colleagues gave first aid to the child before the police joined in, he said.
“I just saw a kid getting stabbed and I just tried to save her. It’s my duty to just save them.”
He added that he did not know if the girl was with family members at the time.

Look at the state of this country, a man saves a young child from being killed infront of 100s of witnesses in broad daylight, with cctv everywhere and they are questioning if it's real or not simply because of his ethnicity. This young man saved a childs life who cares where he is from, everyone questioning the validity of his actions is an embarrassment to this country

This man Abdullah is a damn hero, saved them two females from further injuries or death, the only facts we know so far is this hero's account and the age of the two victims. So all you far right jumping on the bandwagon again to allude to this being a terror attack just hold up your horses this time. There are 100s in prison right now for racist posts on social media.

Thank you to this brave young man for intervening and maybe saving us from more casualties. Extremely sad to hear of so many stabbings especially that of minors. What a sewer this country's become, more or less a mile away police are giving speakers corner a tough time while a brave security guard is taking down ANOTHER knife man, and we almost immediately get told it's not terror related tell that to the girl and woman they most definitely were terrorised.
