My daughter, Kassidy, and I love this song. My beautiful Kassidy died on Oct 10, 2021 from Covid pneumonia after she fought courageously for 2 months to stay alive. She was 35 with 2 young children. A BIG piece of my heart died with her that day. This was the first song I played at her funeral. It’s a beautiful song and it captures the love I have for her. I have loved you Kassidy for a thousand years and will love you for a thousand more.

My ex-wife lost her battle to breast cancer 2 years ago. I had used a few lines of this song to express how I felt when we had first met in my eulogy of her. This song still wrecks me in the middle of the night while watching over our son.

We don't search for new songs We search for old memories ❤

The day we met, Frozen I held my breath Right from the start I knew that I'd found a home for my heart Beats fast Colors and promises How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall But watching you stand alone? All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow One step closer I have died everyday waiting for you Darling don't be afraid I have loved you For a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more Time stands still Beauty in all she is I will be brave I will not let anything take away What's standing in front of me Every breath Every hour has come to this One step closer I have died everyday waiting for you Darling don't be afraid I have loved you For a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more And all along I believed I would find you Time has brought your heart to me I have loved you for a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more I'll love you for a thousand more Ohh One step closer I have died everyday waiting for you Darling don't be afraid I have loved you For a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more And all along I believed I would find you Time has brought your heart to me I have loved you for a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more

My wife loved this song. She sang it to me when we got married in 2017 and God she could sing. She literally saved me after my divorce in 2011. I lost her on March 27th. This song crushes me with memories of her every time I hear it. For you Vicki, we will see each other on the other side.

I'm 61 and this song really touch's my heart. I don't know how people can come up with such beautiful words. Thank God they do.
-
Possibly one of the most beautiful songs of all times. Hundreds of years down the line, people will be singing this song.

I found the love of my life at 16 and when we broke up then we went on with our lives until we met again 20 years later. We're now married for almost a decade This song reminds me that I found the one who is meant for me after all the challenges we both went through. Our love was never forgotten even after all these years ❤️
