Now I have kindly had access for a few weeks, I’ve been playing quite regularly with multiple campaigns over dozens of hours and so I think I’ve got enough experience to make a thorough review. In this video I’ll be talking about my experiences with Manor Lords, whether it’s a challenging, replayable and fun Medieval City builder and whether with all of that in mind if it’s worth buying on release.
I really hope you enjoyed this video and found it informative. Drop a comment with any thoughts or questions & subscribe for more Manor Lords content, gameplay and news just like this!

Lot's of great mods to try out here already but it's early days there are likely many more to come! As I said keep in mind compatibility/conflict issues and that official updates to the game will very likely break your saves. Let me know what you think of the mods available so far and what you'd like to see in the future in the comments below!

Please Slavic Magic, create a steam workshop as soon as possible! I don’t usually play mods, but I know how much they keep games alive, the Total War community is a prime example of this.
-
Slavic Magic will likely see these mods and think... "Hmmm maybe some of these should be integrated"
-
In one year this game will be nuts with developer + mod improvements
-
Bows should use wood and HIDES or LINEN instead of wood and YARN in that mod. Yarn in the game is made from sheep wool, which was not used for bowstrings as far as I know, but sinew from hides as well as linen WERE used for bow strings.

Berries being used for Dye makes perfect sense, as it was one of the primary ways to get varying shades of different colors in the medieval period, and is still done to this day(For places using natural dye). All that needs to be adjusted is either the base level of berries at the resource location or decrease the amount needed for the clothing and dye the problem doesn't exist.
-
When Manor Lords mods can do kingdom/continent spanning campaigns, it'll pretty much give a lot of history loving gamers the kind of immersive total war campaigns they always wanted.
-
As far as berries and dye goes I've found no issue having a surplus of both by just making sure I'm keeping 4 workers in berries during every spring when the berries regrow. You can really abuse this regrow mechanic and end up with thousands of berries. Later on with bigger population you can add on 2 or 3 forager huts and it still regrows.

Hey, Henry's come to see us!
-
It would be nice if goats would also produce meat. And as an idea for a new production chain: milk --> cheese. Maybe, will also need cows for that.
-
If it ever comes down to Greg officially supporting Mods, I could see this game being one of the top 10 games played for the next 5-10 years easy.
-
i would love ability to gather mushroms from forest
-
Finally! Lord of the Rings overhaul when?
-
I hope there are eventually total conversions mods. Not that I don’t love the base game. But building a village in The Lord of the Rings or Elder Scrolls universes would be amazing.
-
