Last week, fans were shocked when news broke that Panic! at the Disco were parting ways with guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker, who left the band to "embark on a musical excursion of their own." Ross said the split was largely due to creative differences between him and Panic! frontman Brendon Urie. Seems Urie wanted the band to explore a more polished pop sound, while Ross -- and, by extension, Walker -- was interested in making retro-inspired rock.

don't forget abt spencer too! both, brendon and spencer started to write lots of stuff together on their own while ryan and jon were working together on their own too. spencer and brendon also wanted to come back to their roots and do all the theatrical stuff again whereas ryan and john were pretty tired of it. I guess it all happened pretty naturally

Guys they actually did stop the band like a few months ago but it was because Sarah, Brendon’s wife, got pregnant and he wanted to focus more on his family

Brendan and Spencer wanted it more polished, Ryan and Jon wanted more of what Pretty Odd was, but this is 10 years late lmao and idk why om getting this 6 months after XD
  • Technically it's because of the fact he wants to focus family and has been hiring outside help for awhile

They broke up bc Brendon is focusing on his family.

Having families, their spouses families and the possibility of wanting kids or one member going back to school, hiatus for self care or inspiration, it’s AMAZING Ryan Ross, B and others have gotten together to put out so many projects so it’s not bad news. They’re bound to naturally get together maybe

I felt almost a sense of relief when I saw the announcement that Panic was ending. I used to LOVE Panic but I was slowly growing bitter. I couldn’t stand seeing the new albums with a single man carrying on the name of the band on the cover. I don’t love Panic anymore, but I will always love Fever.
