JUSTICE FOR MELISSA SILVERA and her minor children and her side of the family
  • Why is there a debate about whether to hold (or not to hold) a referendum when there exists a statutory/legal document which clearly states that a referendum is mandatory as a prerequisite to any decision to become a republic?

The final high court of Jamaica should be in Jamaica, and not the CCJ which is based in Trinidad. The Jamaican people cannot get justice from Trinidad, only from Jamaica.

Regarding the C C J P.J Patterson did say anybody want a referendum, forget it,he is not in dat.
  • In all honesty, the voice of the people it the voice of God. A referendum would allow the Jamaican people to directly express their views on this important constitutional change, ensuring that any move towards a republic is grounded in the will of the people.
  • I totally agree with you a referendum for the CCJ and Jamaica become republic. Jamaica should establish its own final court of appeal. That is what Mark Golding should be pushing for.
  • Its no doubt that the Jamaican people must have a say in how it is governed. Referrandom it must be.

Not leaving one foreign court for another, stupid and Dunce. The first foreign court is not broken. If we're leaving it must be to govern ourselves. Fix Jamaica court system. We must be master's of our destiny.
  • Golding not about the people more about his personal achievements …
  • @linkezz4359
The people suppose to decide their future of course.

The systems very friendly and corrupt.unlikely for justice to serve, as we seeing now people can't get any justice in Jamaica.so a referendum for the C.C.J
