Camping on an Island in Lake Ouchita, Arkansas for the Total Eclipse With Gina Nice and Gina Spice

Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #787
Date of adventure: 4/7-4/9/24

After skipping the total eclipse in 2017, I vowed never to miss another -- so I drove all the way to Arkansas to visit my friends Gina Nice and Gina Spice, and went camping on an island in beautiful Lake Ouchita to check out the 2024 eclipse...which almost turned out to be a BEEclipse!

Most people have no idea just how beautiful Arkansas and lake Ouachita is. Thanks for coming here.

Cool video Sarah. I'm 83 and have been a follower of yours for 5-6 years now, I've never seen a complete solar eclipse. I have seen numerous partials. So yours was special. If you take a large piece of stiff paper and pole a little hole in the center of it, you can focus the spot of light onto another sheet of paper or onto the sidewalk, you create what's called a 'pin hole camera'. The image will show the suns profile perfectly... So no need to look at the sun directly. Those bees were weird!!!!............drive safe coming home.......

Dear Sarah, I'm a veteran of the 2017 E-clipse -- so glad you were able to experience the 2024 BEE-clipse and E-clipse!! 🐝🌑😎

I’ve seen 2 total eclipses and 1 annular in the past 7 years. Pictures and video don’t do them justice as to the actual experience! The animal’s reaction, temperature drop, the mystical twilight that one is enveloped in. Bucket list activity. Next ones in the U.S. are in 2044 and a coast to coast in 2045. Thanks for the documentation on this one…. 🌚 🌞

We were in Mountain View, Arkansas--gorgeous area! We came in from California and joined up with folks from Kansas City. The eclipse was totally amazing, and I'm glad you got to experience it! I'm a former beekeeper, and having a swarm land on a boat in a lake is astonishing to me. Hope someone took them home and gave them a hive!

My wife and i saw the eclipse in Oregon in 2017, and there was no stopping us from a 5000 mile round trip to Texas from Washington to see this one! Totally worth the trip for 4 minutes of totality! Words cannot describe it, you have to see it in person!

Thanks, Sarah, for showing us "the eye in the sky." Another fun video with new and longtime friends. Gina nice, Gina spice, and WH in one video. And don't forget the bunnies. Very cute when Gina nice pucked up puppy with life vest.

I grew up as a army brat overseas and now live in Arkansas and I think it is amazing too.

Gina! Gina! Gina! Nice and Spice are awesome!! Thank you for hosting Wonderhussy for the Beeclipse and Eclipse. That was the best coverage I've seen.
  • @bobfrapples1208
I live in the path of totality. I watched it from my deck in Toledo without having to drive anywhere. It was amazing. I wore my welder's mask.
  • @MrThree1zero
I drove out from LA as well! I was 230 miles southwest from you, Sarah. Town called Sulphur Spring in Texas. Just like you, im glad i did not listen to the wearther forcasters. It was absolutely incredible to see it in person. It was way worth it. I'll be 66 years old next time we get one in the States, yikes!!

I’ve been gone for a while, but I’m back. Glad to see you’re still making these videos. You are an icon. Keep going, girl you’re amazing love watching your adventures.❤❤❤
  • @gep27
I would like to have seen it. It's a shame the moon got in the way.
  • As you probably are aware of ,this was one of the coolest videos that you have ever posted! You have made a number of truly outstanding vids, and this was clearly near , if not at, the top of the heap!
