    When most people from the 60's decide to do it again it's some MOR thing or the songs of Linda Ronstadt or something. Not Mary Weiss, this is proper power pop. Then she disappeared for reason unknown and now she's gone. Someone will now pick up on, not just the Shangri Las, but on how good this was too.

    One of my very favorite fun outdoor shows that summer. Except speakers off to the mall side didn't carry her voice. Mary Weiss was great - Come back!

    Mary's massive influence on punk rock is all over this performance! The NY Dolls, Blondie, the Ramones, The Damned, The B-52's, Joe Jackson, The Donnas....all of them and more were influenced by Mary and The Shangs!
