www.thelastbelle.com/ The Last Belle is an award winning 2D animated short film, featuring the voices of Sienna Guillory, Colin McFarlane and Amanda Donohoe, and directed by Neil Boyle. The film was created using 'old-school' technology: 35,000 hand-drawn and hand-painted pieces of artwork, shot directly onto 35mm film with a rostrum camera, to achieve a traditional 'cartoon' feel. Anyone else completely shocked at how DEEP the bartenders voice was?? Completely through me off guard especially since he hadn't said a single word since she walked in hours ago

    I'm 8 years late but I love how they animated the girl. It's not the conventional "pretty" girl that i would always see in short films. It's refreshing.

    DAMN THE BARTENDER VOICE WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT
  • @toxoplasmagondi
    i love how the woman is as cartoony and funny-looking as the male characters.
  • Can we just appreciate how the drunk guy's scenes were animated? I could FEEL how unsteady his world is!
  • @espionheart6780
    It's for the best that she never found out since the guy clearly catfished her, portraying himself as the 'perfect dream guy' when in reality he was the total opposite as in a nightmare.

    I absolutely love how the bartender was so respectful, and even when they went to his apartment he offered her a drink before anything else, instead of HIM coming onto HER, just a wonderful touch, i love this animation so much. ; w ;

    When I saw the bartender: 🧐 When I heard his voice: 😏

    We were all thinking it when we saw the bartender, we all knew.

    We need this type of traditional hand-drawn animation (and I do mean hand-drawn) back in the mainstream. I am not knocking the newer techniques, by the way. I just mean that this should be able to co-exist with the newer styles of animation.
  • I really do love Rosie's and the Bartender's voice. It's always such a nice thing to see when two people who have a mutual attractive aspect are together.
  • I’m sorry but the way the bartender waited respectfully not to say anything until she was ready to move on was everything for me..😍

    The mom on the phone trying to tend to her kids and empathize with the single friend at the same time - so real! 😆

    This has such a news comic feel. I also REALLY appreciate the animation physics of blind date's moobs. And as a PSA: get pics before you meet, video and/or phone call if you can/feel it necessary. And the one thing Rosie did right: let a friend know where you're going, and with who, and when you should be home. Have your own transportation, and meet in a public place. Stay safe y'all!

    "It could do with a female touch." "That's not the only thing." Is nobody gonna talk about how fuckin SMOOTH that line was like holy shit??
  • I like how in this the closest to conventionally attractive in this cartoony style is the bartender, the lady looks super goofy and cartoony in comparison but she's still meant to be attractive. Nice.
