Polaris General Clutch Replacement

Published 2023-08-30
Brett Hermansen from Van Goes Auto Body has put 3,500 miles on his Polaris General, so that means it’s time for some maintenance. His clutch system is having issues, it won’t shift properly, and because this is a wear out item, he’s going to swap it out for a new one.

proper mechanic practice will prevent many problems such as shown. should have marked the orientation of the parts before taking them apart and reinstall them the same way. remove the pucks and replace them with rollers. always use a torque wrench on all fasteners.
