Intellectual Chad is the new meta

The Real Turning Point for GymBros post-Zyzz, was the re-branding of the Chad & GigaChad meme from bully to totlally supportive gym bro. It made all those intimidating factors suddenly something relatable and attainable.

Modern gymbros are a return to the old ideal of warrior poets - men on a respectable yet eternal quest for inner perfection in both body and mind. It is a noble tradition, worthy of being rekindled.

Andrew Huberman is a legit neuroscientist. He is the definition of "dont judge a book by its cover". Hes a world renown specialist in his field that just happens to be a gym bro.

More plates more dates should honestly receive an award for how much he has contributed to the awareness of physical fitness and health and wellness. He changed the whole perspective on steroids and all this shit. Even sports drinks

As a man who has had wonderful experiences with therapy, it can be incredibly helpful, especially when the person you’re talking to is also a man. It’s just like chatting with a bro who understands how to help you process your feelings. The idea that therapy doesn’t work for men is misguided imo, we may just require a different approach, or even just having it be another dude that can connect and talk us through in a way that makes sense for us.

One of the most impressive feats of acting that Arnold displayed was off screen, portraying himself as a stereotypical meat head to the masses. When in fact, the guy was already a successful real estate mogul & multiple time Olympia winner. And that was before he exploded as the quintessential action hero of the modern times. His intellect, and more importantly his ability to underplay it to his advantage, has played no small role in shaping his current brand.

To defend Pumping Iron and Arnold, it has come out that most of the documentary was scripted. So I don’t think Arnold is or ever was actually as meat-headed as the film portrayed, he just went along with the script in order to help with his acting career, since at the time he was essentially the 1950s Yankees of Bodybuilding

The second mountain “mental gains” 😂🔥🔥🔥
  • What wasn't mentioned is a list of highly nerdy bodybuilders and coaches that look like bros but communicate in a highly scientific manner. Charles Poliquin, Christian Thibadeau, Mike Israetel, Ben Pakulski. These men have serious brain power. Highly impressive minds and bodies.
  • I think if it was Socrates that said something along the lines of: If your warriors cannot read, and your philosophers cannot fight. You will be rulled by the weak or the stupid.
  • The original gym bros were the greek philosophers: “No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” ― Socrates So no...joe rogan didn't invent something new and he is an average fella with good charisma, but is far from an intellectual powerhouse

I'm so glad i grew up with a dad who learned me the real meaning behind being a man, 5 years ago i lost my testicles to cancer. And i was warned by all the doctors to seek therapy because a lot of men gets a deep depression after, because they feel like they lost their masculinity. And my dad sat me down and told me that i was still more of a man then 99% of the world, that i was still the kind, protective and honest guy that i was before the operation. And that he and my mom was proud of me and the man I've become, from that day on nothing else mattered it gave me the strength and self-confidence to do anything in this world. Edit: thank you for your kind words everyone, i hope y'all find meaning and happiness in life

I love to see the men in this community analyzing the negative effects of porn, casual sex and daily masturbation on their minds as well. The "enlightened gym bro" subculture has actually taught me a lot. Love to see men finally waking up
  • @HowardWimshurst
This is a really nuanced and worldly understanding of the lifting culture, and you got there by taking a step back, looking at the whole story through decades. What other channel goes this deep on a topic?? Seriously, these videos are so good

As a man who has been lost in self-pity, anxiety and confusion for many years, I find that the gym movement at least for me has offered a practical way of seeing self-progress. I don't necessarily watch and engage with any form of media around the culture, but more form my own idea of it can be and what it can turn me into. Going with friends on a weekly basis has changed my life, respect, confidence and happiness are just a few words that come to mind, but mostly, a sense of accomplishment and pride to be a man, in spite of 'toxic masculinity' of the modern era which makes me feel like a monster. As a young man growing up with a single mother, I've been a champion of women my whole life and continue to be a proud supporter of feminism and LGBTQ+ (i am gay for the record :) awareness. I only wish I that people in my generation aren't discouraged by our ever increasingly divided and extreme world. Stay strong people 💪 we're gonna make it brah
