Richrath Long Live Forever in Our Mind, Heart and Soul!!!...Gary Richrath(R.I.P.)...One of the saddest news I've heard in my life, my heart is so saddest today!!!, and there are tears in my eyes right now!!!, i don't know what can i say, i am in shock!!, i can't believe!, but is my friend Terry Luttrell who let me know this so saddest news!!, really I'm sorry for your loss Bryan Richrath, really i love your Dad like my brother in Rock!!!!, and i feel like i lost a brother!!, someone who guided me in the wonderful world of music for more than 30 years!!!, i never forget you!!!, i always will miss Gary too much!!!, my dear friend!!!, and one more time i say Nobody Plays Guitar Like Gary!!!, i always remember you like the person who bring so happiness in my life together REO Speedwagon all my life!!!!!, and i always keep hearing your music forever My Friend!!!!!, because your Guitar always talking with me about good feeling, your style of plays the Guitar!!!, make me dreams!, make me smile!, make cry!, i don't know how can explains my feeling about Gary Richrath!!!, for me The Best Lead Guitar In The World as always saying!!! so i think is a big loss for all music world!!!, specially a biggest loss to his Family and the REO Family too!!!...

    I know for me no one was better than Gary Richrath(RIP). He was the Quint essential rock lead guitar player ever. I was lucky once while stationed in Pennsylvania as a Military Policeman, one of our fellow MP's knew the guy who handled security for Hershey Park Stadium. He got a few of us in to do security for an REO concert. I was on the right side of the stage and had an awesome view of the whole concert. This was in 1985. I was an REO fan before that concert but that experience made them number 1 for me and solidified my opinion of Gary's guitar playing. Just awesome!! No one could do a pic slide like Gary Richrath. He definitely made that move one of his signature moves. Plus he did it so effortlessly. I was watching a Keep on Loving You video on YouTube and the REO of today with Dave Amato as lead did that song. Dave did a pic slide and it sounded like some awful screeching sound. It just made you cringe. When Gary did it it was some to behold, that's the only way I can describe it. Check out REO Midnight Special 77,78,80. The last song on that video is that song. The solo is just awesome.
