  • Both my husband and I are descendants of Mayflower passengers. Stephen and Elizabeth Hopkins ( Damaris 2), William and Mary Brewster( Patience) and Francis Cooke( Jacob and Damaris Cooke) are all my 11th great-grandparents. My husband is related to John and Priscilla Alden. So fun to find this all out.

I’m descended from Mary Chilton. I think also from 4 others. I love Family History! 🥰

John Alden & Priscilla Mullins and Myles Standish (his wife Barbara) are my 11th great grandparents. Their children, Sarah Alden married Alexander Standish. From there ancestors from the Samson line lead further to my ancestors' line. In the middle of that line was one female Oliva Alden-Standish (Samson or Felton--can't remember now). Closer to the end was my great GM, Maud Moxley Anderson, who died from childbirth in 1897 at age 18. Her son Alva, my grandfather, died at age 31 in 1927.
  • My brother is in the Mayflower Society. Our ancestors are the Resolved and Peregrine White

I'm descended from James Chilton by way of his child, Mary. It fascinates me that neither he nor his wife lived to set foot on American soil, but his little girl was (supposedly) the first white person to step on to Plymouth Rock. She later married John Winslow, who came over on the Fortune, months after the Mayflower. John and Mary had a large family, and a whole lot of descendants, just because one little girl lived when so many others didn't. Fate is ... very, very strange.

Daddy's family are Crowells and my maternal grandmother was a Maynard. settlers of Sudbury, Wayland , and Leverett, MA. We descend of Howlands, Austins, Nyes. I am adding the s in all cases. You may find our remains from Provincetown to upstate NY. My ancestors were not joining the DAR because we had been here 150 years before that. The elders used to say that we used to marry our cousins, because that is whom we knew!

I descended from both William & Mary Brewster through their daughter Patience Brewster Prence. Every ancestor down was female, through my maternal grandmother! My mother's father's mother is a descendant of Deacon John Dunham.
  • I'm descended from the troublemaker, Edward Doty. I had to laugh when I read the long list of court appearances and fines and charges and assaults: he even sued his own father-in-law! What a silly man he must have been at one time. It does seem he eventually got his act together, and I feel true kinship with him in that I also spent the first decade or so of my adult life being a bit of a putz, but found my way in my early 40s. ❤
  • I love this presentation 👏 great job! Just found out yesterday that I am related through Resolve ...Thankful Hayward, David and Hannah Gay, Ephraim Gay, Orren Gay, great grandmother Wilhemina Gay (Veal-Vale), Iris Elsie Vale (Veal-Vale), Doris Vivian (Pickett -Veal-Vale) Proctor.
  • I decend from Richard Warren and Francis Cooke. I think also Thomas Rodgers.

Recently, thanks to my Great Grandmothers interest in genealogy back in the 1940s-60s. Ive found a love for discovering my heritage... since learning that I am a direct Son of the American Revolution from multiple directions.. I've furthered her research into our family name... and even into the servant on the mayflower Mr. George Soule.... On a side note... another direction comes back to a mr thomas ramsdell marrying a miss Sarah Alverson.. according to records, ramsdell is a direct descendant of the mayflower as well (married Sarah, who was a great8x grandmother of mine)
  • I don't see any of the orphans who were on the Mayflower and survived. There were the strangers who were not pilgrams and those were endentured servants to pilgrims on the ship.

I descend from William Brewster , Bradford, and Richard Warren. I know both Brewster and Bradford are my 12th great grandfathers. Through Love Brewster and William Bradford Jr. I’m not as sure about my connection to Warren but I do know it’s direct. Both Brewster and bradford descendant marries and have children with Pardee.
