My husband sent me out at bed time for one week and just totally sleep trained my son

IT'S A THING (the bed thing). My husband can put my baby to sleep easy. I think it's because they're so emotionally attached to their mamas that it's overstimulating and can't fully relax.

C’mon guys, WHERE are the accolades for Erik’s bedtime parenting? He deserves a HUGE attaboy! This mom of twins knows that delicate struggle (even without the I-respond-to-all-bedtime-requests-to-cuddle). Carrot Stocklin stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park! Keep in’ it simple. Way to go, SuperDad!! Car-rot! Car-rot! Ca-rrot! 🥕
  • It sounds like Eric should put all the kids to sleep and bedtime will be done in 10 minutes. Give mommy kisses and then he takes them to bed. He will probably also stop the waking up all night once they realize mommy isn’t coming to play with them and he makes them go back to sleep.
  • Hey Colleen! Micro-preemie and NICU momma here. Something I learned early on was that because my children were born so early and in the NICU for 4 months, I would do anything to appease them once they got home. That included being at their beck and call at all times. However, by doing that I “trained” them to know that whenever they cried or fussed, I went running. One time I complained about my lack of sleep to a doctor friend of mine and she scolded me for doing what I was doing. She said it actually does them more harm than good. Meaning, they need a good nights sleep, as do we, but if we run every time they call, they will just be up all night trying to get our attention. It’s a hard cycle to break, I know, but if the twins do better with Eric then let Eric do it for a while to see if that cycle can be broken. Flynn may love it. Oh and by the way, I was told by my NICU physician that preemies can be horrible sleepers. I can attest that mine were for sure! Good luck momma! ❤
  • Kids know which parent they can get away with things. Dad is that parent in our household 😂

Do people intentionally throw bottles into the ocean to make sea glass? That amount of glass is WILD
  • @swtariana
Eric is ON FIRE finding all that sea glass, pretty darn cool!

As a mom, I can relate....the kids always went to bed better for daddy. I don't know what the science is behind it. But it is frustrating but great at the same time lol. My husband gets upset that our daughter talks more to me about stuff, and I get upset that my son talks to him more. So idk....it's just one of those weird parenting things lol

TTQ: Have you ever tryed going to the beach at night and brought a black light flashlight that you could shine onto the rocks to check for things like pirate glass or uranium? I think this could be a cool way to see if anything glows
  • My child will sleep only for me & no one else & I'm living with three other family members in this house..lol
  • Not gonna lie I busted out laughing when you said Eric said “I told them to lay down and go to sleep” 🤣🤣 cause thats literally me after the 30 minutes of trying to get my girls to sleep because I’m like you and at night is my “me time”
  • @Pflexer
Would you rock hunt in the dark with a powerful light to see if you see glowing goodness? Just curious if it would work at low tide in the dark? Love your channel! Grandmom of 4 here 🫶🏼
  • @sarebearasmr
I feel like I see a tiny uranium glass glowing in Eric’s pile of green!!

TTQ: would you ever consider bringing in your medium (psychic) to do another read and ALSO try to figure out your ghost situation 😂 👻
  • @texasgal07
It was opposite for our family. Their dad could not get them to sleep. He gave in to any & all request they had. I was get down to business. Bath, story, bed. No if and’s or but’s. I valued my rest/sleep too much. Now if they were sick, it was different of course.

Tortilla talk question: I am obsessed with house plants and I see amazing plants in the background of your videos so my question is who is the plant parent? You or Erik? And can we get a plant tour? 🙏❤️ love you so much!
  • @JEM1984able
Jersey Shore here - believe me I understand the magic of sea glass and the momentousness of a marble!!!! Congratulations!
