Did you know that there is a MAJOR oversight in the Key system?

Turns out that, despite the displayed level being different, and the Pokémon giving the expected amount of experience, their stats are the same as in Normal difficulty.

You can see this even in the first battle. Hugh's Tepig is at Level 5 in Normal Mode, at Level 4 in Easy Mode and at Level 6 in Challenge Mode. And yet, in all three difficulties, it has the stats of a Level 5 Tepig. Combined with the lower experience yield, it means Easy Mode is harder than Normal Mode! (but still easier than Challenge Mode).

No wonder you need to beat Normal to unlock Easy...

(Keep in mind that there are certain trainers that do give more IVs and EVs in Challenge Mode so they ARE stronger in that case, but they are still affected by this rule and calculate on base to their Normal Mode level)
