Liminality room 4 walkthrough (PROOF OF CONCEPT) +extra

Published 2024-05-28
I still can't believe I got the cookie though. I didn't the whole time I was trying to do other stuff. Also something I forgot to show in the video is that you can get an extra achievement for running out of the final room called "True escape".

Also at 25:35 that was meant to be a dramatic zoom in case you're confused lol

I'm not sure if I'd have made this if I didn't see the comment in the thumbnail, so ty for wasting 3 hours of my life (jk)

You don't even wanna KNOW how many times I broke that god forsaken hopper.
Let's just say, probably longer than the Stanley achievement takes if you mine with your fist :/

0:01 setup
0:31 the trick
0:48 pushing up the observer
1:45 finagling the rest into place
4:50 the journey begins (pseudo flying machine+water pain)
14:40 what
15:20 miserably failing at bugfixing
18:30 doing the unthinkable
21:25 giving up
22:22 back to your regularly scheduled programming
24:40 final push (get it)
25:30 bruh
26:10 definitely no cheating takes place (you saw NOTHING)
26:43 bonus content (me rambling+ achievement)

i just did it, used the glass, i think this is the intended way! you were close but you needed to push the "machine" down, i recorded it so ill upload in a bit :)

I sure love puzzles where you have to precariously move every single piece for half an hour just to try a solution that might not even work and if you mess up a single step its all the way back to the beginning or another half hour trying to fix it. Like, I know giving the player a pickaxe would've made it so you can just build up with the copper block and observer, but still, having to set up everything using only a piston and a honey block does not seem fun.

huh so the chapters aren't working. i forgot how to do those. eh whatever. check the description for the time stamps ok i tried both sides, and they both bug out at the same spot. very strange. maybe that means its not the intended solution, but i aint spending time figuring out a new solution when i have one that SHOULD work the more time i spend trying to debug this, the more confused i get. i really dont know whats going on
  • First off, im impressed with your speed in doing it. Second, where it stopped, you can probably just jump across the gap.

Very noice 👍🏻. You have my gratitude and like for the proof of concept. The only thing I can think of is that it’s an intentional design from the map creator which would mean there is another solution
  • I wonder if the piston glitches because it thinks its trying to move an immoveable block like a container block instead of a observer based on where it is in the chunk at that point in time so instead of doing what should work it doesn't.
