When we activate that pituitary gland after long then there will be possible some side effect of it?

When I close my eyes I can’t see the dot. Are there any tips on how to be able to do that. I use a timer so maybe that’s distracting my concentration but I don’t know how else to know when the time is up. I have a bad time perception so there’s no way I’d know how long three minutes is. Please help.
