"You might write something beautiful and deep and have it go overlooked because it don't sound good" That proves to me he actually writes his shit

I stay telling people that a signer’s primary talent is their voice and if they can write then that’s a MAJOR plus. A rapper’s primary talent is their ability to write AND recite lyrics.
  • That actually made a lot of sense about the singing.. that mofo can sing anything n it sounds good 😂
  • @eileenm9252

  • @SlimKim23
And the best thing about this is Chris is a singer but he raps better than a lot of rappers out today

Because in RNB, it's about the croon. Hip Hop, it's about the lyrics, lyricist & delivery.

The fact a SINGER its making more sense on why its inportant to write your lyrics as a hip hop artist who RAPS is very telling. This generation will turn the other cheek on there favs who rap but dont write any fo there raps but will always bad mouth rappers that call out those who dont write saying "it doesnt matter" a pretty good example rn are the female rappers
  • i’ve agreed with this argument my entire life but this just made me realize something…there’s nothing stopping you from saying the same thing about rappers. you can write the most miraculous verse and hook of all time but if your voice sucks it won’t matter. there’s literally no difference in logic or reasoning behind rap ghostwriters and singing ghostwriters. so since we can use the same logic for both crafts what is the real reason ghost writing isnt acceptable in rap. i think it’s an integrity thing. rap verses are more wordy and personal, you expect it to be an expression of the artists true self. whereas in r&b the topics are mainly about love and are often very generalized and you don’t necessarily need the lyrics to be true for the artist because you understand the feelings and perspectives can relate to anyone. rap on the other hand isn’t about a universal feeling, it’s cleverness and word play and introspective. requires wit and charm, personal anecdotes. you want the person who said the impressive, unique stuff you just heard to be the one who made it up otherwise what’s the point.
