Steep hill vs. a 14½ ton RV rig

There are hills, and there are HILLS! We took the RV on a trip through the Texas Hill Country that proved uneventful until a road sign warned "END COUNTY MAINTENANCE." Speed limits started to drop. Signs told us to take curves at 35 MPH ... then 25 MPH ... then 20 MPH! Still, everything was fine until A FEW HUNDRED YARDS FROM OUR FINAL TURN. That's where we encountered THIS hill. If I'd known it in advance I would've shifted into 4L. Instead I was in 2H and my truck had to give its all just to crest the hill. Whew!
