Man I really wish someone recreate whole sonic and the secret rings and black knight with story and cutscenes

Fun Fact: Sonic and the Secret Rings was originally going to be a port of Sonic '06, but was made it's own thing because the game wasn't meshing well with the controllers. Correction: The game was too powerful to run on the Wii's hardware.

this is interesting although it makes me think that the level design that Secret Rings has would work better with Boost gameplay instead of Adventure gameplay.

SEGA used to have the idea to port Sonic '06 onto the Wii, even though the idea changed to Secret Rings. Nice to see this look like both ideas fused into one... minus the wonky physics.

In any other fanbase, Secret Rings would have been written off as a weird low-point for the series, but trust Sonic fans to memorialise it with a remake in the style of goddamn Sonic 06.
