It’s the year 2024 and I’m sitting in my car listening to this beautiful music!! The surround-sound makes the sound so much better!!! Great work Q for this masterpiece! ❤

I was 17 when I purchased this album and I would listen to this on repeat. I know every riff, harmony, guitar lick, saxophone melody. One of the most beautiful records of all time. If being in love were a sound, this is what it would sound like. Sublime. Thank you QJ.

Quincy Jones e Ivan Lins: dois grandes reunidos. Ivan Lins pode ser ignorado pela geração atual, mas as pessoas de bom gosto sempre vão lembrar dele. Orgulho da música brasileira. 10/02/24

Take 6 harmonies on this.. Wow. This song makes me time travel back to college
  • Only Quincy Jones could produce an album that includes the talents of George Benson, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughn, Herbie Hancock, Barry White, Al Jarreau, Bobby McFerrin, The Brothers Johnson, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Kool Moe Dee, Big Daddy Kane, Ice T, George Duke, Sheila E., Tevin Campbell, El DeBarge, Jennifer Holiday, Gerald Albright, James Ingram and Howard Hewitt. And that's just HALF the list...
  • This song is still the jam 35 yrs after it was originally released

Whoever used this for DC2Trills “Grooviest In The World” song as a sample is a straight up genius 🔥

WHAT A MASTERPIECE!!! I was 14yo when it dropped and it was a HUGE deal how Quincy Jones brought together 3 generations of some of the greatest artists in the history of black music! (from Ella Fitzgerald to Ice T to Tevin Campbell). The only thing missing on this album was Michael Jackson (on his BAD tour) Of course it swept the Grammys the following year, and rightfully so! 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆

Belíssima homenagem à música brasileira! Quincy é sensacional !! Obrigada.
  • This song used to be played on radio station WUSL FM aka Power 99 in Philly back in the day. They had a program called The Quiet Storm hosted by the late Tony Brown before he took it back to former rival station WDAS.
