Finished tidying up what I need the excavator for and took the SANY to the bottom Depot to be returned to Sparks Motors... Thanks Dave!

  • Just to let everyone know, I didn't put the ATV in the bucket for a VERY good reason. The SANY slides on many parts of the trail and if I had to use the bucket to hold the excavator from sliding, I would have destroyed the ATV, also I used the SANY to fix parts of the road so having the ATV in the bucket would really be a problem... Thanks everyone for your comments!

The worst part of sending a machine back is that all the sudden you realize all the things you should of done while you had it

Worked industrial and commercial construction for 51 years. You are a very hard working individual. I was impressed with your construction skills. Your pride in your work stands for itself.

Allan seems like you Dave and Dave The whole crew are really good people setting a good example like your fixing the world by just being your selves so Bravo !!!!!!! God Bless you
  • Alan if you take those boulders from the pullout and lay a small rock wall near that sluff zone when the stuff sluffs it will back fill and make a nice back wall for a shed. That SANY sure is nice...
  • Well done sir, on your midpoint you were talking about putting a shed for tools what I was thinking about was putting a little wood stove and a little room with some little bit of food and a little bit of water in case in the winter if you get storm and you're coming up the hill and something breaks I don't know what the weather is like out there but when it's cold it'll suck it out of you quicker than anything just a thought you remind me of one of my family members that I lost a couple of years ago and he was about his wild and unconventional as you. It's almost nice to see a glimpse of him through you. You have a good day. Thank you Bob from Virginia USA

That Dave Sparks seems to be a good friend to have.
  • Alan I’m so sorry about your fire and your loss and thanks for this video you’re awesome !!
  • @CB_ChaosLove
I’m feeling there is YouTube gold here. Some clever editing and video labeling and we have some great shorts. ‘How to get an excavator out of a hole ‘ etc
  • @dogcreek8547
Tenacity, persistence, self motivated, what a concept!
  • Alan, Love the videos ! I have a friendly suggestion: build a cage/ framework for the atv that would hook over the counterweight of the Sany. You could make it to where you could drive it on, using ramps that would flip/ fold up out of the way with a simple locking mechanism. That way, you could operate the Sany down to bottom of the mountain and then unload the atv and go back up to the top fortress. Just a friendly suggestion, that’s all. Looking forward to binging on the rest of your videos !

Once the gravel/dirt seam is emptied it will make an excellent cistern(water storage). Snow and rainfall could help fill it and any overflow could be dammed and use to water a nice big garden. A solar powered submersible water heater would keep it flowing in winter.
  • I watch sparks motors watch them when they came to your place the first time your an amazing hard working man your place is amazing and Dave is blessed having you on his team you have amazing knowledge love your channel and content Dave is from watching him on t-tube is the biggest hearted man I’ve ever seen please tell him for me y’all don’t change god bless
  • You should find a good spot and build a cement pond up there just for extra water, in case of a fire or equipment, or too even purifie to drink.
  • @GMandHoldens
Al, you are very inspiring to be doing what you are. I have been binging on all your videos since l watched the initial discovery on HeavyDsparks. Be safe!
  • @lkbrigg1
What an adventure Alan, be careful and don't overheat.
  • @Challender
Make the best of it as per. Thank you, for sharing your steadfast work ethic.
  • Wow. It looks like trying to move any earth on that kind of terrain is just violent as can be. I never realized how lucky I am to live in an area of thick soft dirt where the only real problems are the occasional giant roots
