Part 3 1923 Parks Wagon Shop Special Restoration Steam Engine Powered Saw Tests

There is nothing better to provide power an old flat belt machine than a period appropriate steam engine. In this case the recently resurrected C. H Dutton 2 HP vertical bottle framed steam engine. This video is of the test runs to evaluate the restoration of the 1923 Parks Wagon Shop Special all of the rehabilitated bearings of the Main Countershaft and the Table and Band Saw shafts.

  • I had a Parks hollow chisel mortiser, built in the same fashion. Definitely an odd way to build a machine, but it worked
