This week, George Saunders — who had three books on the list, including his short story collections "Pastoralia" and "Tenth of December" — joins host Gilbert Cruz to discuss his novel "Lincoln in the Bardo."

    Lincoln in the Bardo! This book made me feel so understood and like the space between people is almost nonexistent. Discussing this book with people who don’t like it made me feel like the chasm between people is insurmountable and unknowable
