Hello fellow stargazers. Although it is April fools, I have news that is not fake, although I wish it wasn't true. Alyn Wallace, a renounced astrophotographer, died a few days ago on the 29th. No information has been provided on how he died, but he is gone. He inspired hundreds of thousands, including myself, with his beautiful images of the night sky. His enthusiasm towards astrophotography was unmatched, and his loss is just truly devastating. I promise this isn't an April fools joke, although, like I said before, I wish it was. Alyn Wallace has passed on into the very cosmos he loved to photograph. Rest in peace Alyn, we love you
  • Can’t believe we finally made it to April! This will be the best month of the year for Astronomy in my opinion 😊

right in the path or totality but is has been cloudy here for 3 days and according to weather forecast it is going to be not only cloudy but stormy on the 8th.. I was so hoping it would be clear. I won't be around in another 21 years so would be nice if I could see this one. I normally haven't been in the right area to see a solar eclipse at all. Anyway, I hope my luck changes for once and it is hopefully at least somewhat clear that day.

I've been looking forward to theTOTAL solar eclipse in my hometown since 2008, I was 12 then, I'm 28 now. :D

I'm in northern Vermont, where the path of totality will pass directly overhead. If the weather is clear, I'll be watching it through NASA-approved glasses. If it's rainy and miserable, I'll be watching through slowly emptying glasses of Jack Daniel's. Be prepared for either situation, stargazers! 🔭 or 🥃🥃
