As Tony says, “The quality of my life is the quality of my habitual emotions.” Our habitual emotions are our emotional homes. It is the state of being where we are most comfortable. It’s what we are conditioned to return to.

Most people’s lives don’t change because they haven’t changed their emotional home. They live in the same emotional homes that they once returned to during times of childhood trauma or devastating situations – they live in the emotional home that’s familiar to them rather than in one that’s empowering.

It doesn’t matter what happens to us or what happens around us. If our emotional homes are anger, frustration, disappointment, pity or sadness, we will react to our environments and pressures negatively.

Consider people who live in physical locations where storms and natural disasters always seem to happen. A hurricane or tornado comes and wipes out their homes and businesses. They rebuild and then in a year or so it happens again. The cycle continues. From the outside looking in, it is easy to ask “why don’t these people just move?” But they can’t. This place is their home.

The same can be true for your emotional home: It’s easy to see self-destructive patterns in others but when you look internally, it can be hard to see past your emotional home – the place where you have been conditioned to return. It’s where you feel safe.

But if you aren’t safe there, if this place is causing you harm, you need to do the work to move.

If you want to live an extraordinary life, you need to make the decision to live in a beautiful state. You need to make the decision to do the work on your emotional home to turn it into an empowering place.

Only when you change your emotional home to one of peace, joy, happiness and fulfillment will you start to build your extraordinary life. When you make the decision, it won’t matter what challenges are thrown your way or what happens around you. You will be able to return to that beautiful state.

Once Tony sad “No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.”
  • "Pain is a part of life, but suffering is a choice" wow, that's powerful.
  • If I hadn't found your book in my father's old library, I would have committed suicide and died by now. Thank you Tony. Even a book you wrote is enough to keep people alive.

folks one of the most overlooked activities is "meditation"...you gotta find time to be quiet, listen, think, pray, drink coffee, listen to music, yoga...I do mine 1st thing in the morning...get settled, plan my day and then get on with it with a smile 555

Listened to Tony since 1989, I am 59 now, and I still listen to him daily. I am a living proof that if you have the hunger, take action, fail, try again, fail, try again that ultimately you will succeed in your own terms. Only takes 1 success to turn past failures into necessities, something you had to go through to get to where I am. Secret to success is resiliency and believing in yourself.
  • SO TRUE TONY! Thank you, from this day on, I will watch and listen to this video everyday, till I change my emotions so that I can be happy and fulfilled.

Aye! 💪Spot on Tony 💯 We've been so conditioned to think that any negative feelings are wrong, that most folk won't even admit to them! How many people will admit to feeling jealous of another? What about feeling or showing anger? Why shouldn't we be allowed to say "This bothers me, I'm annoyed/ upset/ frustrated/ stressed/ anxious/ empty/ fed up/ done in, I'm not ok." As you said, what isn't ok is holding on to those feelings. But we do have to acknowledge them in order for us to let them go without suppressing or repressing them. If we can all do that, maybe we'll have less Mental & Spirital health problems, less denial, more Honesty, Transparency, Healing, Transcendance, Growth & Resilience, with Gratitude, Grit & Grace. I'm glad you're here, with much love & many blessings, thank you 💕🙏
