Id love if you could debate some other things like this, a lot of people on the Joe Rogan Podcast have claimed some of the most preposterous and outlandish things, and Joe usually goes right along with it. Even dunking more of Neil Tyson would be fantastic! Its very hard to watch somebody like Niel, someone with so much influence, just udder total nonsense, confidently, and people believe them. Its actually quite sad, the level of fact checking and discernment is next to nothing with the general public nowadays

I think that most leftists agree, you can't change your genetic sex currently. However, I don't agree that you're either "a man or a woman" because of intersex individuals. They would be some form of man* or woman*, very different from a common human being. That's the difference between gender identity and genetic sex. This is an unfortunate limitation of the english language, where we use the same word to mean two different but linked things. I'm glad you agree that trans women can and should absolutely be able dress up and present as women. I think the problem really happens when we start dictating things and forcing trans women to use the men's restroom, or legislating non-governmental sports bodies, which is a common thing that big government authoritarian conservatives like to force on individuals. I'm curious though. What you think about males with CAIS who present as women? I believe they firmly fall into the "man*" category genetically, but I wouldn't be able to tell one apart from any other woman unless she told me that she had testicles. Is there any issue with her using female pronouns, presenting as a woman, or claiming she is female on non medical demographic forms? Obviously when she visits a doctor who needs to know, she can reveal that she has CAIS as part of her medical history. I'm not sure it's particularly helpful for a police officer who pulls her over to have to deal with the "male" that is written on her driver's license, when her gender could just be listed as "female" and we could all just stop worrying about other people's chromosomes. Likewise, you believe that gender and sex are the same thing, despite having different words for it. We could make up a new word or use a native American equivalent if that would help to describe people who act, present, and believe that they are of a different sex. This video doesn't explain why gender and sex are the same thing, and I was unable to find your previous video on the subject. Can you explain why the word trans people use to describe how they feel is incorrect? Is there any word you would suggest they use instead to describe they way they feel? Furthermore, if genetics determine how you feel about your sex, shouldn't they also determine how you feel about attraction? This would mean that homosexuality and bisexuality can't be real because women are attracted to men, and men are attracted to women. Why is is deviation in sexual attraction acceptable to you but deviation in gender not acceptable? To answer one of your questions: 3:38 It's hard to quantify how many men are waking up feeling more feminine and put on makeup. People who identify as trans account for 0.7% of the population according to a recent Gallup poll, and about 1.5% identify as homosexual male. I'm assuming a significant portion of gay men, bi men, and even straight men occasionally will feel more feminine and put on makeup. 1% of men sounds like a conservative estimate to me. It's a difficult number to quantify or prove, but you could do that with a study. This might be a good opportunity to have a peer reviewed research paper if you're interested in that.
